The newest version of Spotify changed directories. Spotify.exe is under %AppData%/Spotify/. Type "%AppData%/Spotify/" under run in windows xp start button or the search bar for vista/win7. Also, you may have to restart your computer. Works great! Thanks!

@07lema It still doesn't work. I tell a lie it worked for about 10seconds then the blue circle disappeared. and now it won't even come up in the task bar at all. any ideas???

okay... so... This worked for me a couple weeks.. i stopped using it for like a week... then all of a sudden doesn't work. Ive tried deleting it then re-downloading it. still nothing. any help?

I think you should be applauded you've used a great deal of lateral thinking and virtually made Sonos, logitech and all the others redundant! With a idoc in each room and a couple of ipods I have multi room audio. Thank you.

@Zicoemilio The only reasons why it wouldn't be working is because the iDevice and computer aren't connected to the same network or that you're firewall is blocking the port, 8124

Ah I have been looking for this tooo long! I think it's really good! But I can't get it work :/ The blue circle won't come up, and I putted it in the right folder - I played a song too.. I should work on Vista right? :) Do u know how to fix it for me? Maybe something are blocking it..

Forget the spotify remote, download a remote desktop app such as teamviewer and have the whole desktop spotify layout in the palm of your hands :P

@iiTRXii Actually while spotify is playing on your iPod, you can press the home button and it will carry on playing, then open a spotify remote app (like, remoteless) and control spotify from your iPod :D

I have the same problem as the last user.  I don't get the blue icon. Wonder if this has anything to do with using Vista. Using Spotify version 0.4.3.426.........

@cccbbbaaaful It's not Vista. I followed the above instructions on my mothers lap top and it worked brilliantly. Just wish I could get it to work on my PC.

it still works for me, make sure you put the right files in the right folder. Also the blue circle only appears once you've started playing a song.

This should work, if not get back to me.

Go to "Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings"

WARNING this will delete all of your settings, but not any of your files/data.

Also make sure that Plug-Ins are enabled in safari settings
