I was a ten pound pom in 1969 when I was 13. Actually it cost nothing for me to go because I was under 15. It wasn't for me I'm afraid, so instead of whinging, I saved up and came back in 1975. I haven't regretted it. I love it in Britain. Everyone's different though and you have to decide for yourself.
its a shame they arent still getting as many people over from the UK and europe as possible. New Zealand and Australia are being swamped by asians and blacks that come over here and swamp the place and put up signs in ching chong languages that cant be read by people that have lived here their entire lives.
My Uncle thought about going to OZ as a ten pound pom . . . We're Irish but he was born in 1948 so he was born a British Subject . . . Never went in the end
