It was a once a week class for people who are not primarily dancers. Obviously it is hip hop, because of the style of the moves-- do you see us doing leaps and turns? No. Also, the type of shoe does not determine the style of dance. As i said, this class was for recreation, so of course people are going to use the shoes they already have and not spend $100 on new shoes just for the one class.
