Really, though, GOOD JOB MAN! St. Josemaria Escriva knew it was going to be guys like you who would keep the Faith alive while Satan sifts the weakened clergy. Keep up the good work!!
Why so shocked? According to Raymond Arroyo, 50% of bishops at a USCCB plenary meeting were Obama supporters. He and Fr. Neuhaus spoke about it on EWTN's coverage of the meeting.
Arroyo: “…The bishops I spoke to say that maybe half of their brother bishops if not more voted for Obama. Because they thought the symbol of Obama would overcome racism and be a great healer and unity.”
The cancer of lukewarmness and loss of faith has spread wide within the laity and the clergy. Thus the bad fruit.
Shortly after this video, Ms. Henry was elected president of that union, and remarks that her "deep faith as a Roman Catholic instilled in her a deep commitment to opening the doors to opportunity for everyone and not just the few at the top." Can you imagine that? It's in her bio at SEIU.org
See you in Indiana in 2 weeks. Looking forward to it.
Michael, I've been watching Vortex for quite sometime now & I'm jst wondering if it's possible to write the Vatican or who's in charge there abt these scandals by US Catholic Bishops? You are presenting proofs of these scandals. Why not write the Vatican or the Pope in order to stop these. I'm sorry maybe I dont know what I'm talking abt but I'm jst so concerned americans being shepherd by wolves???
@zzot2 Bp. Bruskewitz is a wonderful man and supports us, but everyone cannot simply move to solve these problems. We need to make EVERYWHERE as good as Nebraska!
@RealCatholicTV I totally understand, and don't understand why the Vactican continues to allow Unviersities such as Notre Dame to give such people as Obama honorary Degrees. The nation looks as Notre Shame as "the" Catholic University in the U.S. and when they honor a pro baby killer this reflects on the entire Catholic body. The Pope should of stepped in, or at the very least the local Bishops should of stepped in and not allow this to happen. This is only one sorry example.
People should NEVER define themselves by their sinful actions. Those who habitually lie don't go around calling themselves liars. Thieves do not form "burglar pride" organizations or put bumper stickers on their (stolen?) cars. Why, then, would anyone who has homosexual tendencies want to label themselves as gay? After all, THEY DON'T HAVE TO ACT OUT their desires. Nobody forces anyone to sin, and they are called to live in chastity like the rest of us.
And admittedly homosexual former Archbishop Rembert Weakland has the audacity to accuse Pope Benedict XVI of failure to defrock a child-molester priest in Weakland's diocese, whom Weakland himself had moved from post to post to enable him to continue molest children.
One thing that must be considered, there is a tremendous amount of homosexual influence on the Church. That could be the reason why the Pope has begun investigating many of the semiaries. The Church has paid out hundreds of millions of dollars in law suits and, this influence continues to today- so much so that it is a deep scandal that dioceses all across the country can hardly afford insurance to cover future incidents. It is the work of the evil one, plain and simple.
The term "gays" means "those who practise homosexual acts"; it is not used by those who are stuggling with SSA and who live a chaste life. It refers to those who promote and advance the "gay culture".
@RealCatholicTV what are the heteros called who like to FORNICATE on a daily basis?????? What kind of "culture" are they advancing....according to the Catholic Church?
Same sex attraction is not a sin. Homosexual acts, however, are - they are a misuse of the sexual function.
The Church has no position on the cause of same sex attraction - but it is obvious and logical that participating in homosexual acts is a choice, is opposed to the natural order, and is thus sinful and wrong.
I really don't understand why sex attraction is not consideretad a sin by the church. I could not make love with another man, but i can desire it? Don't you think that is a little hypocrite? Why the Church "has no position" on same sex attraction? It's a bit illogical not having a position as regards "the reason of an action" and have such hard position on the action\conseguence.
Please don't misquote me - I never said the Church had no position on SSA; I said she has no position on THE CAUSE of SSA. No-one truly understands why SSA exists.
SSA is not considered a sin because it is not an action, it is not something we choose. If things we did not choose were sins, people could be damned without doing anything - or have no chance of avoiding damnation.
Being attracted is not a sin. Dwelling on it, or performing the act, IS a sin however.
In just the same way as finding a woman other than your wife attractive is not a sin, but adultery is. Your sexual preferences are not sinful because they are something you do not actively will to be. However, anything you do actively will which is disordered IS sinful - so adultery and homosexual sex are sins.
My god, I hope youtube saves this video for 50 years in the future so I can show my grandkids how religious people viewed the first black president and homosexuality.
Yes, because - of course - you won't be able to show your grandkids the first 2000 years of Christianity in books and other sources. Oh no - this video represents an aberation in your view.
Could you be any more ignorant about what we believe and have believed for centuries? Do you really think in 50 years we aren't going to believe what we have for the last 2000?
And what relevance is it that President Obama is black? I find that very racist - I am blocking your account because of this hatred for ethnic minorities you display.
Our opposition to President Obama is based on his policies, not the color of his skin. We did what Martin Luther King Jr suggested - judge him by the content of his character, NOT the color of his skin.
You want to judge a man by the color of his skin. You are just as racist as Archie Bunker.
MarkG45 - What God are you referring to when you say "My God"? Must not be the same One who said:
Leviticus 20-If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination;
Romans 1-For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise ... were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.
In Leviticus it also says that eating shellfish is an abomination as is wearing blended fabric. Also
Lev 20:9 - If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death
Deuteronomy 7:1-2 - When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations...then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show no mercy.
Do you believe God wrote that also? God did not write the Bible, men did. God is love.
I would find such quoting of the Bible more impressive if it was not just the same verses found on a thousand anti-Christian websites.
Those prohibitions are SPECIFICALLY refuted in the NT as part of the Christian covenant. The homosexual ones are not. The Bible needs to be read as a whole - not picking and choosing.
Keep up the GREAT work Mike. God is taking care of business. At our Diocese Conference in Las Vegas they FINALLY got back to REAL Catholism, as oppose to the pro-Homo, Woman to be Priest, etc. Nonsense from years past. It's due to Laity like you turning the lights on the Cockroaches. We must also support the Bishops that stay True to Christ's Teachings and loyal to Christ's Church.
Whenever I visit family we always go to the Shrine of the Holy Redeemer across from Luxor. Was there this weekend and Fr. Phil gave an incredibly bold homily that had everyone thinking.
Everyone at RealCatholicTV and St. Michael's, Mike, Simon, Vic, all of you....God bless your apostolate and all the work you do. Keep up the excellent work! You all are the best!
I have so much to say, I just cannot do so in 500 characters. I am livid. This is yet another outrageous scandal, and I have had enough! I am so completely disillusioned with the state of the Church in the United States that I scarcely know how to react.
Once my blood has ceased boiling, I shall endeavor to say and ask what I need to. Hopefully I will find a more appropriate venue than YouTube video comments for doing so!
So is mine - which is why we encourage people not do things which harm themselves (such as actively support the homosexual lifestyle and / or live it). Remember, these things are manifest grave sins and may very well lead to damnation if unconfessed and unrepented.
Will it never stop? Before Michael we were babes in the woods. And that is what these evil doers want. They want us ignorant of the facts and pliable to their ways.
I wonder what the Pope's committee would say, you know, the one that is investigating American nuns for this very type of misbehavior.

Along with having to battle against lust during Mass because many women are dressed like street hookers? Along with the legions of wannabe priestettes serving communion, along with....

>> How would you respond to those who'd say it's not the Mass, but a perversion of the Mass?
I would say "You are schismatic and ignorant, possibly a heretic, and you are commiting sins against the Holy Spirit by showing an unwillingness to accept Church teaching."
>> How far do things have to go before it's not the Mass?
I would refer anyone asking that question to the very clear rubrics which detail what is required to make the sacrament valid.
The things you cite are (generally speaking) illicit, but do not make the Mass invalid. That is the core distinction. Again; we should not compare an abusive Novos Ordo with an ideal Tridentine - which appears to be your intention.
