Why so shocked? According to Raymond Arroyo, 50% of bishops at a USCCB plenary meeting were Obama supporters. He and Fr. Neuhaus spoke about it on EWTN's coverage of the meeting.

Arroyo: “…The bishops I spoke to say that maybe half of their brother bishops if not more voted for Obama. Because they thought the symbol of Obama would overcome racism and be a great healer and unity.”

One thing that must be considered, there is a tremendous amount of homosexual influence on the Church. That could be the reason why the Pope has begun investigating many of the semiaries. The Church has paid out hundreds of millions of dollars in law suits and, this influence continues to today- so much so that it is a deep scandal that dioceses all across the country can hardly afford insurance to cover future incidents. It is the work of the evil one, plain and simple.

The Church has no position on the cause of same sex attraction - but it is obvious and logical that participating in homosexual acts is a choice, is opposed to the natural order, and is thus sinful and wrong.

Please don't misquote me - I never said the Church had no position on SSA; I said she has no position on THE CAUSE of SSA. No-one truly understands why SSA exists.

SSA is not considered a sin because it is not an action, it is not something we choose. If things we did not choose were sins, people could be damned without doing anything - or have no chance of avoiding damnation.

Being attracted is not a sin. Dwelling on it, or performing the act, IS a sin however.

Why would anyone want to join such a group? Many of their members are or have been schismatic. Many of the beliefs associated with them (if not explicitly stated) have been utterly wrong - such as denial of the Novos Ordo Mass, sedevacantism etc. etc.

There is only one Church - we do not need and should never belong to parties within it.
