If you really want to compare, India has billions of people and no gold at the winter games. It's not about the people, but the conditions of the country that allows them to succeed. For example, here in Canada, millions of people know how to play hockey, in china, it's only a few hundred. Same thing with speed skating.

If you freeze at 0:57, the Korean girl was trying to pass from the inner lane when there wasn't any room to do so. This resulted in their skates to bump. The rules clearly skate that passing from the inner lane is only allowed when the skater has the speed, room, and doing so won't impede other skaters. IMO, the Chinese were disqualified unfairly.
