@chaoticblue123 Cantonese dialect, in Hong Kong they pronounce N's usually like L's. Like in Canto, the word for 'you' is Nei, but they said it like Lei so using Canto dialect of speech, it's said like gong leuih, not gong neuih. :)

One suggestion: it would be a big help if you used the official Yale Romanization. Almost all of the US colleges that teach Cantonese use it, and it is the system used at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and most Cantonese-English dictionaries. It is pretty easy system. Thx.

It's "nui" for 女, this is the standard pronunciation, starts with an 'N'.

As for "lui", is what they call '懒音lan yum'(relaxed pronunciation), they use that informally in casual talks, you better get rid of it.
