  • Abeuss - Dont think it was a -89.. The FJR started making in 2001. It could be the FJ1200. But it does not look at all like the FJR.

I´ve had a 2007 FJR and loved it, thinking of getting a new one.

  • I have a 2008 kawasaki concours! I feel mine is more powerful and comfortable but the fj looks very good!

  • I Bought one last year. Used 2006 fjr only 5,000 miles. $8500 in Los Angeles ! Happy !!

  • me want.

  • I bought my FJR last weekend!! Yes i´m happy!!

  • @Rovanix

Congratulations!!! Have many years of great, safe riding !

  • @Rovanix I bought my '04 FJR new in August of '03 and put 54,000 miles on it in 19 months. Thier bulletproof. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine.

  • @twinkle22star

54000 miles!!!!! Maybe the FJR can do it, but that was a lot of miles on your bike! Thats 2 times around the planet in 19 months! ;-) Cheers /Rovanix

  • they haven't changed the look much... on of my riding friends has a 89 i think..

  • I really fukin want one of these. I'll sell my Honda and my Harley to get one. Watch me.

  • amazing bike

love the sound of that motor

    is that the stock?

  • @PattayaFJR1300

That's cool. My brief reading on Pattaya indicates it's a

really great place. Sounds like a place I should visit.

Thanks for the tip. Take care of that FJR, I love my '07.

  • Nice bike, I had a Kawa RX 1000 back in the 1990, and i thinking of to get me a FJR now.

  • I have this bike too. It's not for little kids or small men. This bastard is mean. And you need 30" inseam (pantsleg). You better have both feet down while parking and stopping with front brakes or you'll dump it. It does have lots of POWER so watch out! This is not a bike for beginners! It weighs 642 lbs. fueled and ready to go and I mean it will go !

  • I agree entirely !!!

I am 5'10" tall (1.78 metres) and I cannot put both feet flat on the ground when the bike is stationary. I have recently fitted custom seating and a smuggler box from Corbin and this has helped considerably. The bike looks a lot better too.

  • You can also get a pair of dogbones to lower the FJR about 2-3" I believe. They are $100ish on ebay!

It's a crazy-tall bike. My wife (5'3) can't even touch the ground on it.

  • kwak gtr14 is higher and nastier i am on my third fjr and they are ok for shorties cos i am one, just think ahead and you will have no probs. oh yer they go like rockets.wooh!

  • is this a stock exhaust; cause it sure sounds nice & deep for what it is. I really

like this bike and thinking of getting one down the road. In your opinion do you think this is better than the Kawi Concours?

  • Yes, this is the original stock exhaust.

I have never ridden the Kawi but if I have one issue with the FJR 1300, it is that there is no sixth gear. Opinion seems divided among FJR owners on this subject but I, personally, would love to be able to shift up into an overdrive gear from about 90 mph and up.

  • Can you rent these in Pattaya or BKK? I have one at home & the states & head out w/ the wife to Thailand every year. Love my FJR! Check out my fjr vid / Eureka Springs.

  • As you probably know, there are many big bikes available for rent in Pattaya but I have never seen an FJR 1300 for rent.

  • Awesome! Does this bike have a gear indicator?

  • Yes it does. It is located in the bottom left corner of the digital read out panel which is on the right hand side of the speedometer.

  • Will be my next bike I reckon.

  • Great Bike and a nice video . Thank you for posting it.

  • it souds like an airplain :D nice bike
