@anja3791 Yes, everyone can learn to sing. It is a common misconception that to be a singer you have to be born with a natural talent. A natural talent helps but just like everything other skill on this planet: IT CAN BE LEARNED. :D

@aflague671 Confidence is your main problem at this point. You can train and learn every technique in the world but if you don't have confidence you will only half approach each note, and a note without vocal back up (proper breathing) you won't get anything out of it. I make my artists play and sing in front of strangers on a street corner to work on confidence. That's pretty extreme but.

You should really specify tongue placement because those who don't really know will assume tip of tongue at top of top teeth like you would say an N when in all actuality it should be tip of tongue at bottom of lower teeth w the back of the tongue on or near the roof of the mouth toward the back of the throat. At least that is how I was taught to perform this exercise.

In choir we drank water all the time...before, during and after warm ups or singing. Idk about cold water. I personally feel if its tepid or luke warm, for me anyway, it helps.
