Looks like a turbo-charged weather balloon to me! The US government is using them to track Bin Laden.

how can you determine the air turbulence?

After it passes, the surrounding air is disturbed to the point of making the Moon appear to oscillate.
If the airliner was close enough to fill the screen, you would see it's turbulence too.
So I've concluded the object has to be 5 to 10 miles away or it has to be huge.
Discount birds altogether, too small to see.
