  • corian does not need to be resealed like granite

  • I have corian for seventeen years. Stains are not a problem at all. Scratches yes, but can be buffed out. Heat mars but can be buffed out. My sink is a cast iron one set in Corian. I need to reseal it. What do I use? I love my Corian but for that problem.

  • Can anyone tell me where I can purchase Corian adhesive? I realise that Dupont don't sell directly to the public but can anyone help me to buy "under the counter" please?

  • hmm if you put paint on a countertop and then wipe it off right afterwards it makes sense that it would come off because it's still wet, so I don't see whats so impressive about that.

  • I think you should go back and read what you wrote. "granite does not scratch at all but is hard to maintain.? That's what you said. :) LOL

  • Cool!!! great video,very helpful!

I have already decided to use corian for my new kitchen,it will cost 2300-2800€ but i am sure it worths it!!

  • I wonder why granite is so expensive when its really not that good of a quality compared to corian. Corian is very easy to maintain. Well its their money not mine. LOL

  • Corian is non-pourus. Therefore it doesn't take onto stains the same way granite does. But corian scratches easily and is prone to cracks over time, granite does not scratch at all but is hard to maintain. Cambria is the way to go

  • Yes granite is porous meaning you cannot clean up the stains of blood from steaks and fish etc. And that those liquid willl stay there for a long period of time.Thats so eeeaakkkyThere is no way you can remove the stains unlike corian that you just wipe it out. And granite doesnt scratch at all?No way!!! You have no idea what you are talking about dear. Even diamond scratches. Granite scratches too. And is prone to crack too because it is very heavy.

  • I do infact know what I'm talking about. I've been building solid surface countertops for 8 years. I think you took my non-scratching comment too literally. Over normal kitchen wear, granite is literally scratch proof when compared to corian, or meganite or any other man-made solid surface. Sure granite will scratch if you normally cook with diamonds!
