  • I always love watching your spins - its especially amazing to me how much attention is payed to the space behind your back!! Its so hard not to neglect that area, and you use it beautifully!

  • Yeah such a good energy, I love it

Glad to meet you again quite soon dude :)

  • It continues to amaze me how effortless you make poi spinning look, keep it up, it looks awesome!!

btw u did a gr8 job in your workshops at UberOz3 last year, i really got a lot out of them

  • Another fine video. I look forward to meeting you at firedrums in the spring.

  • I begrudge to You:):)

    5/5

  • yeah thomas ! thx for your comment! hey men when you come back to france ?

    where are you now ?

  • I must admit that when I wrote my crit I didn't have the possibility to listen to the music (only for the first time watching)

so I'd like to weaken my crit on editing, it makes a lot more sense with the music ;)

  • awesome spinning.

  • last shot: couldn't critisize the shot itself. but your spinning lacks originality. it's repetitive but I'm sure you recognized already :)

so thomas, all in all this may sound very frustrating but if you start something new you start off best by getting critisized - a lot. it's good to see you are starting to go that way but you can do way better. this video is no comparison to your jff or faya video, both of them a lot better and more interesting.

    anyways, keep going brother :)

  • 8: the thing I don't like about this video is the fact that it is too random. you start off with staff spinners - stick with them and wait until it's "your time"

9: kill it! It is a pointless shot. It isn't beautiful nor does it tell anything

    10: decent spinning footage

11: this clip belongs right next to the other staff footage.. it's so confusing, you're jumping around all the time in between the chronology of the performance itself

  • 3rd shot: but there is WAY too much sand in the picture. the sand shouldn't cover more than 1/3 of the frame and I don't wanna see 2 spinners at the same time

4 & 5: kill 'em - they don't tell anything but confuse me

6: chair, nice idea, but you'd rather wanna focus on one spinner, so go for left or right and zoom in a little. the way you did it you got none of them in a good frame

7: I wanna see how the staff is bein' thrown as well, if possible also bad editing here, bad rhythm, too short

  • hey thomas,

good to see that you start working with your camera. to improve your work I will not kiss your ass but tell you what sucks the most about this video:

1st shot: nice detail but even a shot like that needs preparation. I don't wanna see people in front of that sign

2nd shot: probably the worst shot: I don't know what's happening, I see some window and silhouettes and in the very end the kid catching the staff

third shot: nice idea with the candle

  • Thanks for sharing Thomas! Love the 2x throws

  • You always impress me with you awesome flow man. I hope that one day we might share the same field and get to spin together =]

  • Hey! I like the begining! you made nice animation logo!! and the way to edit is so cool.

of course your poi as well, but as you know we are more filming than spining :)

have you checked Depth-of-field adapter yet?

that makes your video like Max's.

    POI POI POI

  • I want to do something like the one you have in your videos but I´m not shure about this one, I bet that in my next video it´s gonna be different :D

And you are totally right about the filming, I spend more time with all the geeky stuff in my backpack than with my poi,I need to start combining these two more,it´s the perfect combination :P

Depth of Field adapter, I´ve been looking at these videos since I left Japan, soooo nice, need to come back to Japan again :P

    FEET FEET FEET :D

  • Amazing amazing flow as usual from you thomas!

god damn, and this is just a casual show!

    :D

  • oh...Kho phangan oh my home :)

    See you around!?

    //Thomas

  • oh man..this video makes me a nostalgic for a place i've never been... Every movement you make is so beautiful!

  • Every video you make is a gift :) They always inspire me to keep spinning!

  • Thomas, come on, to big words, really, I´m glad to inspire you and I´m glad you enjoy watching them but they are no gifts :D

Would be VERY happy to see more of your spinning and no excuses, just record some just as you did in the first one.

Looking forward to see you again whenever it is.

And I must admit that I find it amusing that we more or less look the same and got the same name, BRO! :D

  • Stop being so modest ;) They are gifts, no doubt about that!

I want to get a couple of isispoi and get comfortable spinning with fire before I upload anything more! Maybe I´ll make an exception ;D

Yeah, it truly is, and what´s more amasing is that when I´m watching you spin I feel that we share the same vision of what poi-spinning is all about :D I think I´ve mentioned it before..

Will you visit Sweden anytime soon?

  • I´m not modest, I´m just aware of the possibilities, what to improve and therefore I would never consider my videos as gifts, however, it make´s me so happy to hear that I inspire and make people happy while I do something I´m passionate about :D

I hope for some exceptions ;)

Yes we talked about it before and I would like to sit down and talk again cos I can see/read and feel that you have a much deeper understanding now, that sounds geeky :D

See you next year in Sweden!?

    Peace and Love!

  • :D We´ll see, it´s cold here and winter is approaching. It feels awful xD

Sounds nice! Are you home all summer? :D

lots of peace and love ;)

  • I do hope that I will spend a couple of weeks in Sweden next somewhere in summer time, miss it and if it´s possible I would be very happy to meet up.

And let´s hope for NPC next year as well and CBY :P

Peace love and circular patterns :D

  • Ahh.. my stomach gets a funny feeling when i see Koh Pha Ngan again! So many parties!! really amazing local staff spinners there too.

So Thomas, why the mini poi? first time I've seen you spin with anything but the Isis heads. You giving the lighter poi a run for a bit?? Or are they just easier to travel with ;-)

  • Well I can´t deny that I actually like to spin with poi like these sometimes but these are in fact my friends Jo´s poi, I just had them for a spin :P

The Isis is still my favourite :P

But Yes isn´t nice to spin there, sometimes it can be tooo much but when it´s calm and not to crowded I love to go for a spin over there.....

See ya around and keep spinning, thanks for posting :)

  • Go Nevi:)stalls are best :D

  • Hahahaha like the two words combined, Nevistalls, need to make my own stall and call it Nevistall :D

  • :) yah, hey what do you think about coming to lithuania?

  • Lithuania is not on my list of country's that I would like to go to for visiting the spinning community's, yet. Poland, Ukraine, Cz Rep, Slovak, Russia, Hungary is some of them and I would LOVE to add Lithuania to this list. How is the community over there?

Hope to see you there someday :D

  • Huh it is not small:) pretty big:))) Hey visit us will be realy happy!! and could you inform me when are going to visit poland :)?

  • I make sure to let you know when I´l be around in Europe again.

Is there any conventions in Lithuania? I would love to come if there is.

And I didn´t expect anything else than a bog spinning community cos al around over there poi and the communitys are growing soooo fast, I LOVE IT!

Keep spinning and I see you hopefully next year in Lithuania :P
