This wes very smoothly shot, but slides like that are common in Japan. It's not really even a slide; it's a series of closely mounted rollers. We couldn't have slides like that in America because someone would take one look at it and see a finger jammed between them and a giant lawsuit soon after. (It would be difficult to jam even a teeny finger between the rollers, btw.)

Dude has great technique for holding the camera, you can see in the shadow. Paradoxically, the best way to get stable images is not by using a bear grip on the camera, it is to hold it loosely and keep it away from you, letting your arms work as a sort of steadycam rig...
