  • The biggest mistake you can make is forgetting it is a dog and trusting it or should I say taking its good nature for granted.

  • I have a chocolate labrador dog with 2 under 5's and I would never let them do this to him. Dogs are just like us in many ways, if you wind em up, poke, prod and sit on them enough they will have a breaking point but unlike us they have lots of sharp teeth and cant shout at kids so deal with it the only way they can. Some dogs have more patience than others that's all, IMO there's no difference in breed really unless it's been inbred to much and you may get mental health problems. The biggest m

  • Put that kid on a leash! Every move he makes is more aggressive than the previous. That dog is a saint! Hell, I'd have bitten the kid long before this.

I know you set this up and supervised, and wouldn't let it go on, actually, just for the lesson.

I have to protect my dog from the neighborhood kids, too. It's the kids need the training.

  • haha very cute

  • @maryt1061

you can tell that dog adores that child

  • No way a yellow labbie would ever hurt anyone. <3 Would ever let my kid alone with any terrier breed though. (bring on the hate mail)

  • Add to knowledge of kids by joining a brief University study on how kids think about thinking!

  • If the dog wanted to get away it had many opportunities to do it so this is not as bad as many of you are making out. However, the kids parent should be teaching the kid more appropriate behaviour around the dog. The child and dog were fully supervised by the camera person and at the end of the day most dog attacks happen when they are left unsupervised. Many people are stupid and think there dog is so soft or so small that it will never hurt a child. They are so wrong.

  • ps breed is irrelevant, don't believe the hype.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!! Great music!!! I have a daughter almost 1 yrs old and a golden retriever and they love each other. When they grow up together like this, they have the best friendship ever!!! You can see our video on youtube as well search "dog and baby" for Natalie and Leo

  • i think it is sweet but i would never let my baby do that and all my dogs a well trained

  • Poor dog! Totally parents' fault if something happens in a situation like this!

  • first of all you are seeing why the lab is the best house pet, their complete loyalty to family members, my lab can't wait for the kids to come around and to try to get het to bite! forget it, she won't even bark, i have no doubt that labs are the best, i wouldn't have any other dog! have had them all my life, and have seen only one lab bite and that was self defence, his owner was beating the hell out of it, the poor dog even ran and hid because it knew it had done wrong, and the dog died

  • dangerous, very dangerous. but that dog has the patience of......of.....of something with a lot of patience. adorab.e!!

  • Yes,"normally".My work with last chance dogs literally next to be euthanized.& as a project leader at the 2nd largest animal control shelter in the US - 55,000 dogs/year. The dogs brought in because of biting get euthanized right off. (Opps, sorry dog), BECAUSE parents dont teach their CHILDREN how to behave with dogs. 60% of dog bites are with children

Dad is clueless that his child's at risk. There are 8 behaviors here that child does, many dogs would bite as a reaction, is my lesson.

  • Thanks for posting. I held my breath through the entire video. Please list the 8 behaviors so I can check to see that I got them all. Thanks!

  • wow...that was extremely dangerous. That dog seriously is an awesome pet because he has LOTS of patience. There were countless things the child did that could have set the dog off, especially when he was climbing on top of the dog. In a dog with a dominant attitude that has not been properly trained to learn his "place" , that would have been a sure attack on the child.

  • Cute but extremely dangerous. The cuteness of this video is not worth the potential tragedy that could happen.

  • Dangerous, though the dog has the patience of Job, why depend on a dog to bear the responsibility a human being should be bearing? No common sense is being exhibited in this type of situation.

  • Irritating.

  • sweet
