wavering gst for necessities just wont work because of the trouble of defining what is a necessity and what is not. When you sell biscuits in a nicely crafted box, is the box the necessity? How about chocolate coated biscuits? Is the chocolate coating a necessity? i think if you are buying from mama shops there is no gst anyways while at supermarkets the prices are usually lower unless u are talking about cold storage etc. 7% is still not too much to pay to saave such trouble (cost vs benefit)

he is a good man, an intelligent one. but, he like many human beings, have weaknesses. his english isnt very good, to th extent that he could brought up his "aura" and being unpopular in th parliarment, its really self esteem consuming to be standing there to deliver a speech, whn you couldnt use th language you are strong in, like hokkien or chinese. but, all th best to him.!
Nothing to do with the cameraman. It's the local media. They are allow to show on national tv only the ruling party's speech and debates. That's life. Live with it....
How come such a good proposal was not shown in public media to share with the citizens. The news only show a short clip of the speech follow by a "non-convincing" whacking from the PAP MP. :(
