As a woman myself, I totally agree! You're defnitely hot... You need to take care of yourself and do whatever you think is best for you. It's your body and your life!
i know it's been said. but don't forget it: this is your body, your life, and only you know what is best for you. you should do whatever it takes to make you happy. according to kate bornstein the only rule to that is you can't be an asshole in the process. im trying to live by the mantra: "whatever it takes". i'm working on it. and i hope you have better luck with the "sexy" thing than i have. i just feel like a goon, but hey - whatever it takes, right? hang in there man.
Thanks for posting this! 4 months after my top surgery, I went through about a month where I was really down b/c despite all the elation and feelings of freedom that it gave me, it dawned on me that this was only the beginning.
If sensation is not a top priority, then there are certainly other options for phallo. Dr. Meltzer does a procedure that takes the graft from the hip, with minimal scarring. You might want to join the FTM-phalloplasty group. Lots of technical details are shared there.
I've been having extremely similar thoughts lately and I'm not even on T yet. I actually just talked about it, but it wasn't nearly as revealing as your entire video. I guess for the same reason you gave. It's hard to talk about, especially when most of the community doesn't feel the same way.
Don't forget that "You are so sexy" :P It might help a little. I've had significant others in the past tell me to do similar things.
You have described your priorities for lower surgery as visibility (especially in gym clothes) as highest, then STP, and with physical sex and feelings as distinct 3rd and 4th priorities. As long as those remain your relative priorities, the phallo is the obvious choice. The tmen who are recommending a meta or even nothing at all are those whose first priority is feelings. Go for what is right for you!
because of the saying "all scars tell a story" it tells of the struggle i went through to get them. i could have got the peri but i went with the DI for the scars. I never want to forget where i come from. maybe im weird but im proud of them.
I don't think that's weird; it shows an extremely healthy acceptance of yourself. You are one of the transmen of your generation that amaze me especially when compared to those of my age--after many years, most cannot even show their chests to each other.
i think thats what im most worried about...having top surgery and then feeling like the dysphoria i have towards my bottom half will come back full force. if you know its right for you then its just something you have to do. maybe a lot of guys feel that way and theyre just afraid to talk about it. so more power to you for this video.
