NAILS is really picky about their music. Like, they HAVE TO HAVE a good PA to play and it's understandable. I saw them last night and it was fantastic.
These dudes don't even come close to sounding like they do on their video or the studio stuff. In fact, they're really boring live. Cool guys though, they just love playing and what not(no one can take that from them). But a lot of the hardcore scene really puts Nails on a pedestal. As if they're the best new thing to come out since forever. Just my opinion though : /
@killerklown91 I'm not sure where or when you saw them, but my personal experience allows me to disagree. Saw them at The Barbary in Philadelphia a few months ago and it was an earth shattering performance. Every band plays a lame set once in a while. Also, it might have been the sound of the venue where you saw them.
@ptc5010 I don't mean to insult anybodys personal experience. I saw a few months back with Knife Fight and a few other local bands in Ventura. I think it's just the studio stuff is really harsh and metallic, sounds which can only be produced under certain conditions. They could of just been rushing their set-up and levels to move on to their next spot. If I ever see em again, I hope I can get the same satisfaction you did.

However, what I was ALSO saying is that every band has a show (or shows) like that due to any number of circumstances. So it's foreseeable and sucks that you didn't get to see a good presentation.
Southern Lord's description that these guys sound like Cro-Mags crossed with am-rep bands such as Today Is The Day. BULLSHIT, the hype machine lies again. I do like the Minus shirt tho.
