  • Great beer song R.I.P. Johnny

  • man they dont make country music like this anymore... what a shame

  • Happy Birthday Johnny RIP...

  • Free YouTube download for my phone is the shit

  • It's the people in this crowd is what keeps things going, Coal Miners, factory workers, farmers, plumbers, electricians,The Garbage man,the mail man, construction workers,etc... it takes all of us to make a country work!!!Even the people on top!!!!! As in the words of another song(you can't have one without the other)...A little less corruption and a little more respect and fair play would be greatly appreciated!!!

  • There are many versions of the term Radneck. One is that a farmer been out plowing fields and his neck is red from out in the sun all day.

  • Any body knows where I can download this album for free, I´ve tryed many sites and torrents, but it didn´t work.

  • drunk off my mind lisining 2 this

  • This song takes me back to when I was in the Marine Corps off the coast of Beirut Lebanon, a friend of mine played it often.

  • rush is so right on,america has been chickified by fems and communist public schools

  • A real Redneck was a West Virginia coal miner, they were union members fighting

for decent wages, working conditions and a normal life,Big Coal owners machine gunned

and bombed them for Unionizing..All in the history books. Red hankerchiefs were

wore around their necks to signify their allegiance to the Union.

  • @flint589 And my hats off to them. But I don't think the crowd in this song had anything so serious going on. They could be the Blair Mountain miner's grand children living the good life thanks to their grandfather's though

  • redneck does not mean racist bigot. However, as you can see, ickiepoo is both a redneck and a bigot. @ickipoo I am white, but given the chance I would give you a beating you would not soon forget.

  • @TozziWelding how old are you then??? LOL

  • I saw Wayland Holyfield talk about this song and after it became a hit he and some friends were coming back from New Orleans and were caught in one of those LA thundstorms. They decided to pull over at a bar and wait out the storm. The boys headed to the pool table and the girls went to the bar to get some drinks. When the song came on his wife told the bartender "that man playing pool wrote that song". The bartender replied "If he is such hot stuff, what is he doing in a dive like this!"

  • And they sure do look better at closing time.... a lot better....but watch out for morning....

  • This is a real country song. Country songs these days are just garbage. I dont see how in the old days they had it all the good tunes and mad respect. But now country in these days are not even worth listening too.

  • @GJWS21 Like just about all modern music. (Except Hank III).

  • @Grantrus71 , Your apology is accepted. Enjoy the music.

  • Todays country music sucks so bad. It doesnt hold a candle to this classic.

  • don't tell us, flashbell. tell the politicians, the military-industrial complex, and the crooks on Wall Street. What's more obscene; a word or stealing the retirement and security of half the nation?

  • @arkyron1947 It was for ickiepoo I made a wrong click, do what you gotta do. If ickieppo did good in your opinion I don't need this.

  • @flashbell i just about spit my beer all over myself when i read ur comment here. thank the lord for people who can make decisions themselves! too bad most of us are in the hills, instead of running the country. just goes to show you why willie nelson would rather sing the same songs, than to be nominated for president.

  • @flashbell yeah, & he never would place his hand on the bible when swearing in, on both occassions, what does that tell you folks, ?, wake up america

  • @knoxcountykyman1 Maybe that he supports the American value of separation of church and state? There is no legal requirement for him to use a Bible.

  • @alamanderflash maybe it supports his islamic /muslim values, you aware that their religion offers no choice ?your options are to convert or be put to death, period, read up on it, it's interesting

  • @knoxcountykyman1 Read up on history yourself. For centuries the Islamic states were far more tolerant than Christian states were. When even the most powerful Christian kings were illiterate, the Islamic rulers were well educated. Educations that included material from ancient Greece that had been lost to Europeans. Educations that were often given by Christian and Jewish teachers. In the middle ages Christians and Jews in Arab countries were protected, Muslims in European countries were killed.

  • @alamanderflash i'm telling you facts, they're educated, & they do not believe in seperation of church & state, you are forced to take their islamic faith classes in all schools, starting in your first year, & you must be a born muslim to hold any any political office, read the koran, you, my friend, are considered by them to be an infidel, your two options are to convert within 3 days of their proposal or be put to death, no christian faith that i know of wants to put them to death

  • @flashbell ME NEITHER!

  • @flashbell "Apollo"?

  • @ickiepoo You said it spot on! We need to rise as a nation and do some cleaning!

  • @ickiepoo

Words lead to actions. You tell that to the Hebrews who perished in the Holocaust and their families, including the 11 million other non-Hebrew people who died at the hands of Hitler's minions.

Hitler said, "Tell a lie long enough, and it becomes truth."

What do you think propaganda is??

  • @EagleOneoOne Actually it was Himmler, Hitler's propaganda chief who said that...not to correct you but just so you know. :o) Thanks for your input!!

  • @Grantrus71 Actually Goebbels was Hitler's Minister of Propaganda and the quote is most likely apocryphal. Probably a paraphrase of the "big lie" propaganda idea coined by Hitler in Mein Kampf in which he attributes the strategy to Jews. Specifically accusing them of creating the myth that Ludendorff caused Germany to lose WWI.

  • @flashbell cowboy cussin the pinball machine, thats zero tolerance

  • @dizzypilots1 , I agree, but would you jack with someone cussin the pinball machine? I have my limits.

  • there aint nothing better than sitting on my front porch in my small redneck town, drinking beer with all my redneck buddies!

  • Man, this song brings back some memories. Sitting in a redneck bar and listening to this song on jukebox. I sure miss that time. How things have changed since than, and not for the better. Youngsters today really have no idea of what real country music is. It isn't Kieth Urban, Taylor Swift and Rascal Flats. That is pop music.

  • Song brings me back to my Granddaddy drinking his Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Back to the 70's for me with this song. It's great!!

  • first album I ever bought was Johnny Russells Red Necks White Socks and BRB back in the day......about 1973

  • this song came out when the usa was stil free you could set in a bar and smoke and drink now you cant have any fun with out a permit

  • One of the best singer/song writers Country music ever had.

  • Mna I love this song. I have some old polaroids from 1968 of family siting in a little place called Paynes Restaurant in Centreville VA having a good time drinking PBR

  • 35 years ago, I played this on a country radio station. Got called on the carpet.

    "our listeners are NOT rednecks!"

    I still love it.

  • I own a bar in Northern MN, Riley's Cannibal Junction, I worked for Mayo in Rochester MN for 16 years, I was a Medical Administrative Secretary, and also a Supervisor, Secretary to the Chairman and Vice Chairman, I was white collar, but I love my life so much more now. There is no other place that I would rather be than right up here with my redneck friends. Vicky from MN

  • @cigar1840 Cigar, why did you flag me as spam? All I have said is true. Sorry if I supset you. Vicky from Minnesota

  • we still listen to this in new straitesville ohio and drink p.b.r. but no fag ass rascal flatts

  • @catherinecheva4272

I concur! Today's country in my opinion flat out blows!

  • depends on who it it is a singing

  • Allan Jackson, and George straight at the moment seem to be singing what is reflective of real country as well as some time old favorite country singers like Gene Watson, but you don't hear him on the radio waves of todays country.. I mean nothing comes close today, what country sounded years ago. That is timeless.

  • haha thank god. Im in columbus and I dated a girl who dug those losers I was like do you know who Waylon is?

  • @derfsanderson i will be in columus on st paddys day and sure hoping to hear some good ole country regards from the UK BUCKEYE

  • My pop was the pbr driver from 60's to 80's in that area , He passed away this year.

  • I hope you are doing ok, I own a bar, I appreciate my drivers so much, we are friends. I am sure he was a good man. May he rest in peace.

  • I don't know about much of you, but this song stirs up alot of fond memories. Thanks John! RIP sir. God Bless, and I'll have a PBR for ya!

  • i love the pbr. and i cant stand this new pop country bullshit they play on the radio. im from the old school. and im only 21

  • RIP, big guy..your 70th birthday.

    Miss you!

  • great song great times i remember

  • You are so right on about this garbage they call country today. Just plain crap.

  • I remember drinking Blue Ribbon. Good times!! Good days!!

  • This is when country was good

  • We used to jam, while singing this, in college.

  • The song reminds me of the World Famous Wyandotte Tavern 3700 Taylor Blvd. in Louisville Kentucky near Churchill Downs.

  • You just plugged that tavern!
