just to ask with the gun that you are useing cant you shoot the anamle in the head for a fast death no pain and took the pelt from below the head becuase what i hear is that the pelt is better below the head then on the head i dont know why
Nice job, Bobcats are very difficult to call in. You are better than I am, cause if a bobcat shows up like that I am dropping the camera and grabbing something with a trigger. For those that make take shots at you.. They don't know how to hunt... They are the same people that think Meat comes from the back of the store. If you are like that Ask yourself.. how would you feed yourself if the grocery stores ran out of food because of disaster, or worse.
i hunt on public land in the cherokee national forest in eastern TN and seeing a bobcat is always awesome. in fact, last time i saw one, i was about 8 yrs old, deer hunting with my dad. that was only 7 yrs ago but still.
Great vid. I also have called in four cats in a 1 1/2 month span while calling for coyotes. poeple around the area never knew they existed! I'm finding a different cat every 1/2 mile! they are quite photogenic at 10 yards!!!!
I'm in Phoenix Az, My best hunts have been a ten minute drive from my house! And i dont live in the woods, but there is a river near by thats teeming with wildlife. Hey thanks for subscribing. It encouraged me to post another vid i think you'll like. Me and my wife took a cruise down the coast of Mexico Last spring and while on a snorkling excursion we ran into some killer whales. (not while we were in the water) I think many will enjoy that. Are you from Redlands Ca ?
Great vid! And good choice not to shoot it. I've only seen 2 bobcats in the wild and both were at night (one was on the road while driving) and were seen for few seconds.
There are more cats than people think. My buddy trapped 7 from the same trap in a little over 2 weeks (northenMO). The property owner had never even seen one. They are sneaky, that's why this vid is so cool! I checked one in this last fall, game warden said numbers are there in our area
Illegal to shoot them up here in Alberta.:( But I hope to get the chance to even see 1 in the wild they are quite uncommon.

colton8515 1 year ago
I second that..... One shot from the DPMS ar-15 .223 would save the pelt and anchor him where he stood! Great vid of a beautiful cat!
sfranklin0440 1 year ago
your so funny haha
deckflip 1 year ago
.223 for Mr. Bobcat. They are the worst predator of poultry and the hardest to catch in a live trap. Call 'em in and smoke 'em.

yeah dude too bad you had a .300 otherwise it would of been a nice pelt in the wall thats what a 22 hornet or 17 hmr is for right!
Laprise202 1 year ago
ah you didn't shoot it. What a waste, you called in a good looking cat and didn't even drop it. Woulda made a good mount.
mitchhustad 2 years ago
Why the hell would people shoot a bobcat? It's not even a threat.
...do they taste good?
IIMayhewII 2 years ago 11
they can taste good if you cook it right, also the Pelts can be worth some good $ depending on the demand and time of year

That's some nice footage you have there. I've never gotten to see bobcats so close. They are very flighty animals.

wow, someone who doesn't kill for no reason. If you are going to kill an animal eat it, don't let it die in vain. Im sure bobcat tastes like crap

Actually bobcat takes pretty good. Cougar also tastes good I'm told, never eaten any cougar meat.

why didnt you kill it
garywrench101 2 years ago
No shot because the .300 winmag in my lap would have made a mess of the pelt.
Recent turkey collar study said almost all the kills here in CAnwere from bobcats. They love their turkey sammiches.

I want to hang with you. I realized I need to get away. You are living the life! I had an awesome pheasant season this year with
Winnie, but find that this winter might kill me. I want to move out west, the east coast sucks.
