I really like Chad Dawson but he's not busy enough. 175 is pretty thin right now but still they need to making fights for him with somebody. Take over seas if you have to. And they should make a catch weight with Bute at 170 or something

@TGUNZ562 I disagree, in street fights it is mostly punches thrown. You do not want to go to the ground in a street fight, especially if there are others around. Because once you go to the ground you are vulnerable if others are around. You want to land a quick, hard shot to disable your opponent, then get out of there. But I agree that MMA has it's own technical masters. It's an excellent sport and both sports (boxing and mma) should support each other, not criticize each other.

Yes boxing is on demensional but there are so many different aspects of that one dimension boxers are true masters of thier game. MMA is a still growing sport and still evolving. I enjoy the transitions of MMA stand up to take downs to grappling but there are alot of on dimensional mma fighters who havent even mastered the basis of their game.

Dawson fights in his comfort zone he could of got glen johnson out of there with a little more effort he throws a few quick punches every once and awhile and then slacks off for the next 2 mins he's getting boring.
i see dawson win close over hopkins. Similar to johnson-dawson 1. AND i see him beating roy jones as he will let him miss by keeping good distance with his excellent footwork. what i like about dawson is that his technique is very clean and crisp. Even when he fights terrible he doesn't look bad.

Well Pascal just won the rematch, but he got injured during the fight and won't be ready to box until June at the earliest. Yeah I would like to see Dawson vs Diaconu, but I'm pretty sure Dawson wants to fight Hopkins. Cloud is also available. This is some of the thing I dislike about Chad (and I'm a fan of Chad btw), he's gets into the politics and doesn't want to fight the best opponent available. He overreaches for opponents (Hopkins) that clearly do not want to fight him.

It was a good performance, but it's easy to look good against Johnson. I would have liked to see a bit more aggression out of Chad though, cuz he'll have to be busier against Pascal.

hell ho, i dont see danny green in the fight, hes a good fighter no dout , but he's more of a brawler than a boxer, if he applies pressure on dawson, all dawson will have to do is tag green by throwing lots of combinations, circle green and use lateral movement to avoid bombs, dawson has a good chin ,so hell be able to take some good shots if they land, i like dawson by via unanamous decesion,
and roy jones is old, any elite can beat him now.

i see dawson win close over hopkins. Similar to johnson-dawson 1. AND i see him beating roy jones as he will let him miss by keeping good distance with his excellent footwork. what i like about dawson is that his technique is very clean and crisp. Even when he fights terrible he doesn't look bad.

Well Pascal just won the rematch, but he got injured during the fight and won't be ready to box until June at the earliest. Yeah I would like to see Dawson vs Diaconu, but I'm pretty sure Dawson wants to fight Hopkins. Cloud is also available. This is some of the thing I dislike about Chad (and I'm a fan of Chad btw), he's gets into the politics and doesn't want to fight the best opponent available. He overreaches for opponents (Hopkins) that clearly do not want to fight him.

It was a good performance, but it's easy to look good against Johnson. I would have liked to see a bit more aggression out of Chad though, cuz he'll have to be busier against Pascal.
Doesn't have to be UFC aggression, that would be stupid, but Pascal comes to fight and has much better hand speed than Johnson...assuming his shoulder isn't ruined for life that will be a wicked fight.

I'm yet to see anything about Dawson that impresses me... Johnson (a senior citizen) was the aggressor for the entire fight while Dawson fights in short spurts and misses ALOT! All three commentaters were acting like his cheerleaders, praising him for combos that barely land and claiming he's winning the fight "going away" - what BULLSHIT! He's younger and HBO can hype his career and milk him longer, but a great fighter he IS NOT.

@advent8888888888. foolish young boy. calzaghe would have easily lost against dawson. dawson comes from hopkins cloth (fighting styles) and look how hopkins beat up on calzaghe, then losing to the JUDGES and not calzaghe himself (split decision) picture a younger hopkins with a much higher work rate, defense, and doesn't get tired. u have DAWSON. thus calzaghe FLEW into retirement not wanting ANYTHING to do with a hopkins rematch and definitely nothin to do with a dawson fight

Chad Dawson put on a clinic, impeccable footwork, Slip game was on point, Turn of the shoulder, Fluid combinations.
The only thing i'd say to chad is:
- Feint a lil more even the he always gets off first.
- Go the the body a lil more make that investment.
- Lil less head hunting.
- Counter of the slip a lil more he leaves his opp's wide open sometimes he don't even tax em.
I thought it was a good display of skills.. Pascal & B-hop next.
