I didn't say I completed any colors. I completed what are referred to as the centers of each color, meaning the cubies that have only one color. The edges and corners were not solved until after I had solved all of the large centers (composed of 18*18 center pieces)

I find solving them tedious, but the method of pairing edge pieces is actually very intuitive and straightforward, apart from the final two edges, and any tricks one might want to learn to speed up the process.

the term n x n x n indicates that the cube has n-many 'cubies' along each of its axes. for instance a normal cube is 3x3x3 because each edge was divided 2 times (3-1) to produce three sub cubes. there are 'cubes' like the rubiks domino which are 3x3x2 and many hobbyists have made other types of cubes like 3x4x5.

so, no, none of the numbers indicate the number of sides of the puzzle

I find it highly doubtful that you yourself are able to manufacture plastic components on your own. I for one do not have 3d printing capabilities, nor the skill required to construct molds. The internal workings of large rubiks cubes are extremely complicated compared to standard rubiks cubes, and though working 9x9x9 or maybe even 11x11x11 have been made, you're asking for double that. It's simply not been done. You don't understand what you're asking for.

What exactly do you find so hard to believe about this? I really am curious. Surely you believe that smaller cubes can be solved, so where exactly do you draw the line? At what point do you claim a rubiks cube cannot be solved?

that's my point exactly. If you believe that, for instance, a 5x5x5 can be solved, then why not a 20x20x20? The same techniques can be applied, each step just takes longer. Is it the amount of time? Were you expecting it to take longer?

There are a lot of videos out there explaining algorithms that can be used on these big cubes, if it is the mystery of the technique that is why you find this hard to believe.
