so many ignorant here, mj doesnt own any beatles song, he just have half of the publishing right that means that every time a beatles song (just the ones he has) sound in the radio, tv, movie etc he get a little percert of money.
I've found that arguing which version of a Beatles song is completely pointless. Even if you narrow it down to two or three versions, someone always throws in some obscure cover or just stubbornly refuses to listen to reason. I think one thing we can all agree on is that Cocker's gritty, booming voice, Jackson's pop revamp of the original, and the Beatles original performance make this song a classic.
i dont think mj's version revamp the original, beatles's version sound better and the voice of lennon is more clear and easy to hear. i think mj's version is rough.
The BEST verson of this song is the ORIGINAL by the Beatles. MJ did a good version but nothing tops the original.
John Lennon's voice is perfect for it and besides it's lyriics is about all FOUR members of the BEATLES.
However if you want to hear some other interesting versions of it, Aeorsmith did a so-so remake for that hideous Sgt. Pepper movie, Ike and Tina Turner does a very raw and gritty version while the BROTHERS JOHNSONS does a really, really funky version of it (my favorite remake).

I've found that arguing which version of a Beatles song is completely pointless. Even if you narrow it down to two or three versions, someone always throws in some obscure cover or just stubbornly refuses to listen to reason. I think one thing we can all agree on is that Cocker's gritty, booming voice, Jackson's pop revamp of the original, and the Beatles original performance make this song a classic.

The BEST verson of this song is the ORIGINAL by the Beatles. MJ did a good version but nothing tops the original.
John Lennon's voice is perfect for it and besides it's lyriics is about all FOUR members of the BEATLES.
However if you want to hear some other interesting versions of it, Aeorsmith did a so-so remake for that hideous Sgt. Pepper movie, Ike and Tina Turner does a very raw and gritty version while the BROTHERS JOHNSONS does a really, really funky version of it (my favorite remake).

I do not know why an arguement started, but whatever. I prefer the Beatles cause I do not really like the pop of today. Michael was still a great performer and the last great musical artist with his kind of fame. The Beatles and MJ experienced the same kind of fame just at different time periods. Just to settle something, MJ does have the greatest selling album of all time. However in total sales, the Beatles are 2nd to Elvis. The Beatles still have the records for most No. 1's songs and albums.
