I like how DR Craigs entire cosmological argument for the existence of God was just smashed by the LHC. Now neutrinos move faster than light the early Universe comes from particles that are infinite. I knew this was going to happen I knew the LHC was going to turn physics on it's head and I knew DR Craigs Philsophy was going to look even more shit.
@SuperSharko First of all, what caused these neutrinos to come into existance? Second, I thought it was claimed that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light? So how can these neutrinos perform such a feat?
@CptLabs19 If neutrinos can travel faster than light this means Einsteins theory was the flawed one "not entirely but in part" I think all physicist knew that there is a fundamental flaw in our understanding of physics we didn't know where but that's why we built the LHC. particles moving faster than light doesn't only dismiss DR Craig's philosophy but also goes along more with my personal naturalistic beliefs on existence before the BB.
@CptLabs19 I do believe thanks to the LHC thanks to Science and experiment, humans will be able to understand what our Universe was like before the BB or what banged. There is no need for a God in this kind of Universe all the reasons DR Craig listed which make a intelligent deity necessary are now and always were dismissible.
Faster than light implies eternal, the substance of matter was and always will be, it is absurd to imply intelligence with that knowledge
@SuperSharko I really don't understand how exactly we can claim that science and experimentation in modern times can explain a phenomena that was unobserved. We don't have any data describing the 'BB'. So, what exactly are the results we are looking for? Life?
@CptLabs19 "explain a phenomena that was unobserved"
We can actually observe the BB with telescopes and through the electromagnetic background radation
"We don't have any data describing the BB" What you don't seem to understand is once we understand what is going on "NOW" we will know what wen't on then. The Universe changed at a point understand the Universe, understand why it changed. Matter is not intelligent it doesn't require a intelligent cause.
@SuperSharko We can observe the BB that created life on earth? I don't believe we can since the time in which it could have happened has already occurred. You claim that we can observe them through telescopes and through the electromagnetic background radiation. Even if we can, what are the results of them. Have they shown how life was created?
@CptLabs19 I hate to break it to you bud but we are all just speculating! Speculation based on evidence is what I care about. I have always believed that the building blocks of matter transcends the BB on quantum level I believe most physicist agree with me. We could not find the link between relativity and quantum mechanics, if these findings are correct I have further evidence for my speculations where as DR Craig's speculation is based on even further flawed premises
"Even if we can, what are the results of them. Have they shown how life was created"
You're confusing the Big Bang with how life formed on earth billions of years later.
All I am saying is this is a extremely interesting finding in regards to how the Universe started as a naturalist I want to understand how the natural universe works. I have never believed the Universe "started from nothing" it always existed. We test our ideas and let reality dictate the truth
This is another interesting question I was debating a Christian back in 2009 he asked me the same question I told him Craig Venters work is going to create synthetic life out of basic molecules I thought he was years away from this "so did DR Venter" but low and behold we have created synthetic life one year later! As for DR Craigs philsophies back in 2009 I argued before the LHC even fired up that it is going expose his bad logic to the public.
@SuperSharko Also, I did look into the neutrinos. I found out that even the scientists who discovered this don't even know what it means. So, you're just speculating. They don't know if it is even possible. The scientists are still checking the equipment for errors.
@CptLabs19 "scientists who discovered this don't even know what it means"
If infact there findings are true it means that these particular particles are not bound by the laws of the standard model. neutrinos are one of the most important particles in the early development of our Universe.
If the findings are indeed correct this is one of the biggest moments in human history. IT APPEARS WE BROKE THE SPEED OF LIGHT!
@SuperSharko In the words of Stephen Hawking, "What is one mile north of the North Pole? That is irrevelent because there is no such thing." I say this because you said earlier, "I do believe thanks to the LHC thanks to Science and experiment, humans will be able to understand what our Universe was like before the BB or what banged."
@SuperSharko This is also irreverent because there was no universe before the BB, even if BB had the possibility of occurring. There was nothing in existance except what are beliefs claimed to exist. I believe God existed, and you believe what you believe to exist.
Almost all physicist living today believe in the MultiVrs We may have found hard evidence for Neutrinos not being bound by space and time. Now if there are particles in our Universe which transcend space and time which is something atheist have believed "do exist" and these finding turn out to be true THIS is indeed more evidence for the naturalist that God is a completely unnecessary explanation for matter in our Universe.
Because some complex being, in an act of will, built into 'his' creation time, & cause & effect as part of the matrix of our universe/reality, there is no sound logical position that in any conclusive way precludes this being itself from being subject to causation. An explanation for the existence of this complex being should still be required. Thus, the problem of the 'infinite regression' stands.
So which god does this prove???????? what a cunt? infinity minus infinity (except for the three I've hidden in my pocket is ) three. again what a cunt. and he thinks homosexuality is a life style choice!!!! what a fucking cunt. everything needs a beginning except for my own personal god.
@imkluu I suppose contradictory may not be the correct term. It is that you laid a nice proof of the god of the bible being evil then you call it all a fairy tale. So which is it: a fairy take and so it doesn't matter that he may be a baby killer or is it wrong to worship god because he is an evil baby killer? It seemed kinda contradictory.

I'll put in brackets what WLC neglects to mention in his first premise:
Everything (within the observable universe of space and time) that begins to exist has a cause.
Now. 4 questions:
What do we know about causes that are not within space, time or the observable universe?
Is WLC talking about natural or Agent causation?
What needs to be present as a framework for a creative act to occur?
When did you "begin to exist"?

Who do you believe?
A Scientist with a committment to finding truth or
A Lawyer with an agenda?
You can call searching for truth an agenda but there's nothing more honest.
And few things less honest than trying to support a conclusion that came before evidence was sought.
Craig is simply doing the lawyer thing of defending a guilty defendant. He's good at it (he's a lawyer!) but it's still transparent.

The imaginary god of the bible is a BABY KILLER!
-2 Samuel 12 18: he kills David’s baby son (baby suffered for 7 days before dying!)
-Exodus:12:29 Kills all the firstborn in Egypt
-In Noah's flood he killed every baby on earth
-Sodom and Gomorrah: He killed every baby in these two cities
-1 Samuel 15:3 He orders genocide including babies
-Miscarriages: These are god's abortions
-2 Kings 2:24: he rips 42 youths apart for teasing a bald man
Religion is a fairytale and its practice is a cult!
