  • I remember when Hank used the name Luke the Drifter, the name was used on a lot of his Gospel Records. I sure miss Hank's live voice from the years I've seen him on stage.

  • Why'd you have to add all that crap at the front? Pretty douchey, man.

  • Hank was the greatest ever ,his spirit will be with us for a long time ...He did sing from the heart , to bad he died so young ... but his memory is here in his songs ...

  • Hank was the best ever to come along in many years not even David Church can come close and don,t get me wrong ,i saw the man in person he does a great job , i sing Hank,s songs myself as a singer,,the man,s spirit will live on for ever, he is the real deal ...

  • what happen to my post pho0enix081000

  • this songs one of the best ever written

  • Hank sr took a fall from a rodeo horse and broke his back

  • this is the shit that shud be on the radio not that taylor swift shit

  • pure country what it was suppose to sound like.

  • (insert subjective opinion about any musician that I claim to be a matter of fact, consequently inciting heated debate in the commentary)

--Every music video commentary on YouTube

  • My, you are perceptive!

  • funny as shit

  • sometimes geneus skips a generation(and i know i cant spell)

  • Hank Williams Sr is the best ever. Period.

  • hank sr is a legend!!!!!!!!!!!! will always be just like george jones's song whos gunna fill there shoes NOBODY!!!!!!! nobody can thats it u can canpare all u want but there isnt another hank

  • Thanxxx from Berlin/ Germany!!!

  • if he was around today we would all buy his cds so i think he could make it today. plus this is real music not pop country of today so i think many many people would respect and get into his grove of his style. plus is lyrics are untouchable so you have to respect him

  • he the best thanks for posting he could not even get in country to day

  • hank williams sr is the very best song writer singer ever end of story

  • I agree with the singing part but i personaly feel Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard are the best song writers. Also i feel Bob Dylan is a better writer. But as for writer/singer you're right.

  • Dylan is a no talent druggie..to mention his sick name with Hank Williams Sr is a sin

  • I just said song writer not singer. You can't say he dosn't write good songs just because he is a druggie. Anyways you are intitled to your opinion. so do you agree with my Willie and Merle comment. I didn't mean to "sin" so let me set things stright the best singer/songwriter ever is Hank sr.

  • I could not name a song written by Dylan, never understood how he did not bore people as he did the ten seconds I saw him mumble nothing..Merle has many songs to his credit and is a very good singer...Willie Nelson has written many good songs but never cared for his singing, not sorry like Dylan, just not a favorite of mine..Hank was the best songwriter ever...Fred Rose next, then probably Kris Kristofferson . I cringe at the thought of Dylan's music, but the SIN statement by me was stupid

  • @biltom I agree that Merle is the only singer/songwriter that can even come close to Hank Sr.

  • I love Hank Williams, but in case you didnt know he was a druggie too. Addicted to Babituates.

  • It was a crooked spine in case you didn't know. No such treatment for Scoliosis during his time. So drugs got em. Remember he died at 27.

  • ya, if he didnt have that disease, imagine the mass of music he would have produced

  • I stand to correct myself folks, Hiram King "Hank" Williams died at the young age of 29, (September 17, 1923 January 1, 1953)

  • 29 my friend

  • @BigCookinCajun he was 29...and what he had was the mildest form of spina bifida,no disformation, just not fully formed, but intense pain, hence the drugs and alcohol, also a doc that began giving him morphine for it...way too young to go,but, man, what a legacy!!

  • @BigCookinCajun It wasn't scoliosis,it was spina bifida occulta, mild form of spina bifida,so no deformation of the spine, just vertebrae not fully formed at the top of the spine, however intense pain, hence the ensuing addiction to morphine...

  • @scumgod13 not barbituates, rather opiates, but that was beacause of his spinal disease and a doc who shot him up with morphine in order to keep gettin his paycheque from Hank's continued ability to perform...

  • dude bob dylan did not write shit, all his songs were just mumbling random useless shit, he was terrible hankk sr and willi nelson are the best song writers PERIOD

  • Bob Dylan is a plagiarist.

  • kristofferson is probaly the best song writer but willie is very good to

  • Hank Sr. could write circles around, sing up one side, back down the other, up the street and down, across a country mud hole a mile wide, compared to I can't sing for shit Kriss Kristofer son. Shhhhssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @woodcarving AMEN!!!

  • good recording, but I dont like the rod stewart intro at the very beginning, Hank should never be mixed with cheesy rock, . . .

  • its hard to word how this makes me feel , thanx hank

  • wow, like the soul of country

  • Great Video, Great Pic's

    5 stars

  • Be sure to check out 'The Unreleased recordings of Hank Williams' at Time-Life Records, a 3 CD boxed set of radio station acetates from 1950. Cool Clear Water raised up goose bumps, it's so clear and live. Hank was the best of the country greats!
