I know this video is the iPad two but for my iPhone 4s when I was ps I have the defender series but when I was taking that silicone part off it just broke just like that I was taking it off like I always do but it just broke and also the hard part under the silicone part well something is just wrong with it it won't open properly like most peoples do so please otterbox help me thank you soo much

Like a customer that left his comment earlier, mine has the problem that the earphone tab doesn't fit right and keeps opening with anything. Bought it from an authorized dealer.

Thank you very much for this video! The instructions found inside the box were not helping me, no matter how many times I tried to put the case together with my iPad safely inside it, but I knew that Otter Box is a respected company and that this def wasn't some unwieldy piece of junk. But after one watch-through I have it all together and feel like my iPad 2 is safely protected! Great product! (maybe just some better written instructions packaged with it)

@3rdshifted - I think that's apple's design problem, not otterbox's. After having an iPad 1 that took a great deal of punishment with no problems our iPad 2 shattered within 2 weeks. This merely protects a very delicate and poorly thought out design.

not happy at all with my case...gave it away...instead use a Switcheasy case...so much easier to use...do not like the way the otterbox scratched my glass on the front due to the hard plastic in contact with the glass...other than that...it protected...just not in love with it. Do like my iphone case...

I recently shattered my new iPod2 as a result of a waist-high drop on blacktop and the unit was in a foam "JUST AIR" protective case. The corner of the aluminum case was dented and the glass cracked into a hundred pieces. So much for the protection of the "JUST AIR" case.....I asked around and everyone said "Otter Box Defender", so I just got one for my iPhone4 and iPad2, and while I have no intention of test-dropping them, they appear to be well-made and seem as they would protect in a drop.

if the hard plastic were to cover more of the top and bottom bezel, the cover/stand would have been perfect. I am kind of dissapointed that the four corners of the screen are not protected.

I got my case today after waiting about a month. In fact it took so long amazon.com sent me an email stating they were going to cancel the order by the 6th if it wasnt shipped out. So there is quite a wait. However the case is high quality and I will was worth the wait. Definitely a badass product.

I ordered the Defender case 4 Ipad2 on 05-12-11. As of 05-23-11 I have yet 2 receive it. I keep getting the run around from the Staff. There Shipping Info on

@donniestr otterbox sends you an email when you order it, and it has an attached file which contains the tracking number. you can enter this number in at fedex.com or whoever you shipped with, and you will get an estimate on what day, and exactly where it is. on fedex.com theres a place that says track on it, and you should click that and just copy and paste the number in the correct box. hope this helps!!

@AndrewSmith00000007 If you purchase from our website, the case will come with a stick on screen protector (like that found in the Commuter & Impact Series of cases). If you purchase through a retailer, no screen protector will be included in the box.

@iiiPad2 When removing the silicon from the polycarbonate layer after unpackaging, you want to be sure not to pull the silicon away by tugging the port or plug covers... rather, you should pull from the rim of the silicon where it attaches to the polycarbonate layer.

Actually I did contact customer support, bit I was told that the tight fit is to be expected. In my case, the fit was tight that the lower half plastic piece left marks on the glass and once the IPad is in, it is almost impossible to remove from the case. There are other users with the same problem. The problems are so bad that in some cases the display gets distorted due to the amount of pressure exerted by the case on the glass. One made his IPad fit in your case, but he had to use a dremmel.

Rather than release product that does not meet our expectations, we contacted the manufacturer who has since made the recommended changes. We anticipate that our shipment will arrive any day now and once it passes our final quality inspection, will begin to ship. I hope this clarifies things!

I never understood why the rubber went on the outside.. I will be waiting for a case with the shock-absorbing layer between the hard plastic and my iPad.. I can't stand the rubber layer constantly peeling off the hard plastic like on the OtterBox iPhone case. Seems counterintuitive to have the rubber on the outside and the hard plastic on the inside. Oh well, hopefully some company will come out with something like that.
