And as they say in the show, the middle class has been absolutely crippled in Argentina, hence the rise in poverty and its relevance as an issue.

Latin America has problems. If we hide these problems and don't confront them, things will not get better.  Buenos Aires is not the safe city it was even 10 years ago. All the cities in Latin America have beautiful things and ugly depressing things. We have to be honest with ourselves and try to fix things. By hiding our problems all we do is make things worse. We have problems with drug related crime, poverty, breakdown of social structure. If we don't want outsiders to see, clean house!

Society is breaking down everywhere you go in Latin America. Maybe is democracy. Maybe we need to go back to dictatorships. To give you a clue where I'm from, my city was voted one of the cleanest and safest cities in the world, in 1972. Now it is a shadow of its former self, full of crime, hell on earth.
