  • @REXXLEGADD07

    Do you shit us?

  • Happy days Mardy :)

  • the bass is that phatt, it got banned it ten different countrys before they even heard it there, also heard it caused an earth quake in japan back in 1990

  • lfo that is serius bizzness !

  • I used to go to the warehouse in Leeds .Remember hearing this at the time, groovy train and Itals anthem as the tracks that set the crowd off. Best acid strawberrys and pills. Happy raving days .LOVE TO NICOLA my Leeds soulmate .

  • ahhhh

  • I like how the bass overdrives itself here.

  • beast of a choon

  • This track goes fine with uppers downers screamers laughers twiddlers diddlers fluffers stuffers throbbers knobbers or any substance that guy in Fear and Loathing had in his bag

  • Monster!

  • kaos/soak on a tuesday night at the warehouse, live forever

  • I love it how LFO's sub bass is still causing arguments over twenty years after it first came out.

  • this seems to be running fast ????

  • Doesn't sound like the sub osc at all: Sounds like they tracked the filter's self oscillation. They probably just recorded it hot and left it that way. I do it all the time on my sh-101 to the same effect.

  • HACIENDA DAYS...sweet tune and fat bassline....11 out of 10.!

  • my most fave trip of all time

  • this is yikes out door party in the park grooverider an all 1990 or there abouts what the yeah we were there Reading boys we aint lost it!

  • One of them tunes which blew both my mind and my ears. Mind has recovered, somewhat. Ears are gone forever... (Tinnitus SUCKS!!)

  • yes people LFO CONSPIRACY Manchester fennel st back of the corn exchange TUNE TIMES

  • <3<3<3LLLLLLLLLLLLL.FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.OOOOOOOOOOO<3<3<3

  • back2basics, the gallery, the warehouse in leeds,

the youth today dont know how to party,

    we were all loved up

  • When this came out in late 90 it blew the stereo apart! Honestly xx CHHHHOOOOOOOOOON xxx

  • @Vasilouxxx Rumour has it they actually had to ban this song in nightclubs because the bass was just that powerful that they couldn't afford to keep replacing the speakers it destroyed.

  • @hotelmario510

Mate the bass is actually recorded distorted and is no more powerful than any other recording using the Sub oscillator of an MC202 synth.

As much as I LOVE this tune, they either purposely fucked up the bass to make it sound like it was the club PA systems.

I can tell you this for a fact. If I stick the 12" on my 1200 deck and play it through my Focal Twin industry standard monitors the bass still sounds a bag of shite, even at low levels.

  • @kolakube123 I'm just going by what my Dad told me, man. Look at all these fucks I give.

  • @hotelmario510

?? Why the attitude ?? I didn't say anything offensive? Go ahead and give no fucks then.

Why post something you don't give a fuck about?

  • @kolakube123 I wasn't giving you "attitude", nor were you offensive. I just thought it was an interesting rumour, and I honestly couldn't give less of a shit if it is accurate or not.

  • LFO Leeds Warehouse Mix IN Leeds Warehouse. Now, that was da bomb, I can tell you.

  • Love this,Kawai K1 preset "Soundtrack" ,SH101 and TR908/Akai S900 ? Basses DX7?

    Speak and Spell?

  • This is the shitQQQQQQ

  • Not surprising this was a Worldwide hit when it was released, and sold so well. This introduced electronic music drastically at many countries. An great example that is Brazil. When this started to get dropped into Rio de Janeiro Clubs, producers and DJS Exploded, and the crowd came into mass numbers, into an effect that changed forever the underground movement right there and introduced Techno (And yes,House) not only to the poorer, but to the richer echelons of society.

  • Another brilliant tunnnnnne.....

  • This group blew our minds when it first came out. Sounds just as phenominal now as it did back then!

  • nice work, so fascinating to see where a lot of UK underground house is getting its influence from,

Scuba-Adrenalin is a very similar tune to this, obviously not as good but shows the oldies that everything released these days isnt fucking shit!

  • 1 of the best dance tracks ever made without a doubt.

This is what you call bass, none of that mid range crap used in tracks of today.

  • L...M...O.... LMAO

  • makes me proud to be from Sheffield....

  • Just been blarring this out on my system, home alone raving my arse off to some old school Euphoria - Altern8 style :D at 1:00am I should be arrested playing it this loud! :P

  • i wish i grew up in the 90s...

  • @Schpongy No you dont, you'd be twice as bitter and filled with double the hatred for the shit released since 2000 when the big companies saw a fat profit market for talentless cheese and squeezed the independent labels out

  • @gordongate i guess, but im just saying there was so much good music released in that period that i wouldve loved to experience first hand :)

  • @Schpongy What made the difference was that it was still illegal in many cases to put a party on in the early 90's, that kind of made it feel naughty and more enjoyable. There is occaisionaly the good tune released now and then but nowadays i browse on soundcloud as many bedroom producers release on there and because of that, the music has a touch of the pioneer spirit, go try it

  • mdmazing.

  • 999MrD, you continue playing this classical stuff-- it will continue to fill the floor too!

  • I'd like to point out that raves are still going and the small collective is happy, hugging, loving it. It's just not to music like this. I love old rave music but its moved on and that's that :(

  • back in the day, SW1 club, i was outside for nearly 3hrs in the Q when inside this tune was banging, the walls was shaking, miss those days love & hugs to all involed

I was only a yoot at the time but im glad im from L Double E D S!!

  • This is the real LFO, the good one! Good Track. my fav though of this era was without a doubt Lords of Acid Lust a totaly different type of techno, but oh so gooood.

  • @ch0ddies Mate shut up. No one cares what you think. This is better than Chicago house imo and I know a lot of others agree too.

  • I was there. If not remembered for majestic deeds or charity millions, i should be remembered for those nights at leeds warehouse where i contributed to the scene. the scene was me, i was the scene. when i get to Heaven, it will be mentioned.

  • @sepehrfarzaneh Try Proxy, eh?

  • Still brilliant

  • ryanisbuzz= fuckin joker

  • I was listening to this shit when I was 12 and now I'm 22 mixing techno trying to make it sound this good. Welcome to the Future baby.

  • It captures the essence of the underground perfectly. It was overplayed at the time for a reason. There's something of the 'travelling to the all-nighter' vibe about it; thunderous bass. I still get it today.

  • pure tunage mate buzzin on speckled splitters ugm sound :)

  • The DJing Technically was crap, but you were that mashed you did not really care, Technically the music is brilliant now as it ever was....

  • Heard Jamie Jones drop it a few years ago and the place went completely ape shit!

  • @lee0577 agreed!!

  • THIS IS WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT

  • HELL YA

  • Words do not describe how iconically awsome this tune is, brings a happy tear to my eye

  • Sounds like the roots of Minimal

  • Proper tune from backaday and for that i thank you......Peace

  • bang on my friend, absolutely bang on. Tell it like it is.

  • Greeeaaaaat !!!!!! It was really the beginnning of techno music !!!!!!!! Thks Man !!!!

  • Haha Yeaaaaaaaaahhh! Back in the good old days :)

  • the differece in the late 80`s and 90`s was a guy could make a tune in his bedroom and put it on white label and if the djs liked it ,it would go up the charts.everything is controlled now

  • @davies241 what are you talking about? it's WAY easier to make tunes in your bedroom and fire them off to DJs now than in the 80's 90's. all you need is a computer, you don't even have to pay to make a white label, just send the MP3 around. you just have to be checking the right charts and listening to the right DJs - top40 / billboard charts are all shit obviously

  • i started clubbing in 1987 and always bought vinyl, i'm a walking encyclopaedia of electronic music and i don't think there anything wrong with modern electronic music you just got to look in a right places.

  • im 16 and i love oldskool Ebm

  • None of my speakers ever seem to handle the bass on this bloody track

  • Just seen them on the main stage at Bloc 2011, still rocking it, the yoof was into it to.

  • @Cacophonaut

Too true. The whole reason i have recently dug up my passion for oldskool hardcore/jungle and the like is because i used to buy the tapes from age 12. Though it is awesome too :)

On the other hand this is different. I feel tunes like this are so much more leftfield and timeless - the passion never went away (though i was a bit young for this one when it was released :p).

Tan Ta Ra and You Have To Understand are both eronmous tunes for me on that first LFO album.

  • MC Texas Instruments Speak n Spell more like :)

Who for the record make a lot of huge weapons/missiles when theyre not teaching kids.

  • Thats a real hi hat!!

  • It had me almost ????????????

  • Head still tingles when I hear this! Is this normal??!!

  • aciiiiiiiiiiiddddd.

  • C-L-A-S-S-I-C !!!

  • this track laid the building blocks of the bridge that took house to hardcore .....Yeah

or more simply put a fricken tune....

  • love this choon, head down and stomp ya arse off :-)

  • Is it true this record came with a disclaimer warning listeners to turn down the bass or it might blow out their speakers?

  • Still one of the best electronic tunes ever made.

  • my joint!!!!

  • i sold my record collection last year , but i kept hold of this vinyl and a few others as i cannot part with them,808 state etc. awesome tune low frequency oscilation, we are back

  • This track is my ringtone :) :) :) Epic track Low Frequency Osicllation.

  • @laserboy1975 How does your phone cope with the low-frequency effects? :D

  • @jk037 Lol it dont :( i use it as an mp3 player so it sounds fine through headphones, doesnt have quite the same effect through the phone speakers, still makes a good ringtone though, just feel like dancing rather than answering the call though :)

  • Mine as well mate. I nicked idea from someone I read in interview saying it was best ring tone they'd heard a few years back.....and it is!

  • Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like one of the Street Of Rage music?

    Great track though

  • how can you not like this!!!

  • what the fuck are you on mate? its just a fucking record mate you need to calm your silly self down

  • The scene was fresh, the E's actually had E in them and yes the quality of music and DJing was better.

If you were there, you'd know what I'm talking about.

  • @1giblesp A trip to Sankeys will probably change your mind!

  • @1giblesp couldn't have said it better myself :)

  • best tune ever warehouse classic and finder of free parties with that bassline rumbling through the air.classic

  • Niceeeeeeee !!!!
