Good vid. I'm an atheist, but I was impressed by the even tone and emphasis on historical fact shown here. I know it's b/c you're setting the Mormon scam up to fail (and they deserve it), but thx for posting.
Mormons are Christians. We believe in Christ. There are not countless gods, just heavenly father, Jesus christ, and the holy spirit. I think some of the preachers should ask actual Mormons what they believe. We are Christians. There you go everyone.
@beallen98 This is from the king follets dicourse( In order to understand the subject of the dead, for consolation of those who mourn for the loss of their friends, it is necessary we should understand the character and being of God and how He came to be so; for I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see.) end quote. Are you saying Joesph Smith was wrong ?
Is it true that Romney fathered an illegitimate child with a French woman more than 25 years ago when he was a "Missionary" in France. Are the secret bank accounts to cover payments to the child and mother? Did Mitt marry the French woman too and now is secretly practicing polygamy? I think the only way to find out is to see Romney's tax records for the last 25 years. Let's put this to rest before the nomination.
I know Christians who have seen Christ more than once(in dreams & visions). Not in person. Also not Christ and God the Father at the same time in person. Mind you that John the Baptist was only Christs cousin physicaly. Christ only burdened John the Baptist to baptize him inorder to fulfill the law.
Mormonism is actually quite different than mainstream Christianity. The Jesus mormons preach about is not the same as the one taught by most christians
Mormons believe in a Jesus who was man and then became god through obedience, and that the Father received godhood in the same manner. That there are many gods when bible teaches there is only one.
Like Peter, James and John, "John the Baptist" (Jesus Christ's cousin) was resurrected. Now, if Peter and Jesus can raise the dead, like with Lazarus, one must ask is it possible that John the Baptist is alive? Also, if an Angel appeared to Moses and the Apostle Paul and so on, is it possible as well that Joseph Smith, a Gentile (remember Malachi) saw God himself and that the power of the Holy Priesthood was conferred to him, from a Jew to Gentile, by the laying of tangible hands?
to sum it up: i think that joseph smith was a well-intentioned reformer in the best tradition of that nobel endeavor. there are positive aspects of the Mormon faith as espoused by smith and his present day contemporaries, like abstaining from tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine; a rigorous social order, thrift and hard work, and the value of faithful marriage troth even as amongst several wives. i question some of the divergencies beyond these core principles as stated previously in my commentary.
@foopedlo I think joseph smith was a scam artist and a false prophet. He invented the whole story stealing bits and pieces of the bible, and other religions, to start his own religion. But the underlying motive was money. His family were known at the time as flim flam men. I think the LDS are a cult that uses a false doctrine to fuel the real agenda...money and power.
@lanes58 just shut up....wer not causing any harm...we believe in God, and evrything all christians believe in...we just have another book, that talks of jesus just like the bible..except its from a different people....don't talk about something u dont know of
@AtlasUtai01 .......and it doesn't bother you that a 14 year old who made it up is how it came to be. It is so painfully obvious that he was nothing but a charlatan that it aggravates people that others are not only stupid enough to believe but have the audacity to go to homes and try to find people as dumb as they are to join this cult. He had 27 wives! May I ask why do you believe any of it. Just one shred of evidence is all i'm asking for. Something real and concrete that doesnt involve fait
the dynamic twixt god and man resides with His "Chosen" who have come to inhabit as oppressors in the land of the Palestinians. we look to deliverance for the oppressed As likely Jesus will be on the occasion of his anticipated Second Coming, a leading chemist/pharmacia practiced at purifying the psychedelics rather than with fire & brimstone, who furthermore has already delivered the Gospel that together in fellowship with angels and his disciples, will serve up the Holy Psychedelic Eucharist.
it says in the koran that all, be they jews christians, whomever, will get their just rewards. I question however, Mormon attitudes- their obsessing over afterlife genealogy and missionary over the needs of our present poor and disenfranchised, e.g., our starving indigenous, while favoring, espousing, predatory capitalist corporatism, and power politics, the military, and wealthy " white cracker "elite, neocon tea party dingbats, over the common good like universal health care, & world peace.
Mormonism is akin to secular scientology in that they both have a skewed Latria:
one would think, and according to gospel tradition, it is the poor and disenfranchised whom shall inherit the earth. god perhaps bestows the wealth as a TEST on those greedy individuals (like Joseph smith) and Beck, whom He rather disdains, which He knows that they will fail. the same goes for Mammon-worshiping America. Moreover, if it weren't for revolutions we'd all be united and after the gold as one corrupt.
"there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another."mosiah 18:21
we all beleive in God and there should be nothing that we should contend about. God bless you all.
I wish I could understand how people buy into all this. All religions are so unbelievable I am always shocked when a believer starts telling me about the word of god. There is no god. the church (any church ) is nothing more than a buiding where manipulators fool their flocks for power and wealth. I have much sympathy for anyone who becomes a believer. They submit themselves to false prophesy for nothing
Mormonism is Christianity. People constantly argue that it is or is not but that is only because we have different definitions of Christian. The simplest definition is a person that believes in christ. If this is true like the dictionary says, then Mormons are indeed Christian.
Satan believes in Christ too. Does that make him a Christian?? A Christian is a person who believes AND follows the teachings of Christ. That's a little different.
Hey brothers and sisters. Please have a look at my short video titled 'To All The People In The World'. It gives a positive message on how we should accept each other no matter what religion/idelogy or belief. Thanks you for your coöperation.
I love fairy tales, they're entertaining! Let me get this straight, So the creator of Mormonism was shot while in jail? Hmmmmm! Can I ask you a question? If 2 people die at the exact same time, one is a mormon and the other has not been brought up in a religious home and has no specific God...do they both to go heaven? Does the Mormon has a VIP card?
@investinottawa One problem with this is that the video is explaining the HISTORY of Mormonism. It is in no way backing it up, or saying it is true. Matt Slick also explains the history of Islam elsewhere.
@Beckinz1 Where is the error? in the number of wives? in some exact date that doesn't exist and never will....Lucy Mack Smith, the Munchauson of Mormonism, confirmed her sons hat, seer stones, urim and thummin, his dad said he hefted the plates and they be about 30lbs. Much less than what other "hefters of the plates" indicated. The Mormons packed polygamy in their pampers when they came to SLC. The Church of Cheese and Mice for Lying Dirty Snakes is funny but not haha funny.
A vision in which John the Baptist spoke to him..... John the Baptist is dead.......... the Bible calls talking to the dead an abomination....... well, I guess that's enough for me.
So according to this video, The Native Americans are Jews? How many Native American groups/sects/tribes concur? I know the Jews in Hollywood back in the day don't otherwise they wouldn't have portrayed American Indians so poorly on film. Thank you for posting the video. Informative and funny.

Although i have to say mormonism is probably the easiest religion to disprove.

No, science is not always right. School time: Scientists produce claims that can be tested by other scientists to see if the claims are correct. This is called falsification.

I live in Salt Lake City Utah (the LDS Capital of the world pretty much) and I'm going to be bold and say you don't have a clue what your talking about. Please do some actual research on the RELIGION then you can worry about the science behind it....
@CabeBiken10 I'm going to be bold right back at you and say that I was born , and still am, a member of the Church. I know the facts from the bottom up. I have studied them in full. I know what I'm talking about.
Just because science isn't right 100% of the time doesn't mean that you can replace the gaps with whatever fairytale story you made up.
In the case of the american indians science is 100% right. Thousands of scientists have DNA tested humans all over the world and the migration pattern is clear.
The tools that the scientists use are the same tools that are used in the development of of life saving drugs for you and me so they have to be 100 % reliable.
Your missing the bigger picture dude... I really don't think I can explain this to you on Youtube so I'm not really gonna try. Sorry dude, but we're at an impasse.
If a rapist gets convicted for a rape by DNA testing i suppose you don't feel that the wrong guy got convicted right?
I mean. It's hard to explain anything to you if you don't believe in FACTS but if you do believe in DNA testing and are open to hear about how scientists have come to the conclusion that the American Indians migrated from eastern russia i could send you reports that prove this.
@Salladsdressing Why are you telling me this? I've already told, your missing the bigger picture. (Or at least A bigger picture in general), neither one of us is going to convince the other on Youtube.
You don't know me, you think that because I'm religious I automatically reject science but you don't even have a clue. How I see it, science and God support each other. I think your looking at it is they contradict each other.
We aren't even on the same page so this argument is pointless...
Science and the book of mormon contradict eachother in a million ways!
I mean either the American Indians came from Israel like the book of mormon say or they didn't! That is a scientific question that can be answerd and HAVE been answerd. If you aren't happy with the answer that thousands of scientists have come up with through DNA testing well...then we have a problem.
@Salladsdressing I wouldn't say a problem, but I guess we can call it that. I've told you so many times man, your really missing the bigger picture here. I can't teach this to you on Youtube...
@Salladsdressing "Some conversation Progress" Don't get too excited yet you atheist missionary lol.
Let me conclude with this. The thing about science and religion is. Science is all about facts, you can prove science to someone to some degree of accuracy. Religion is about faith, you can't prove it to some, faith is something every individual has to discover on his/her own and that's where the doubt begins. In order to gain faith you have to take a "leap of faith" and not know if your going
Well yes, some things in religion you just have to take by faith if you are a believer. Like gods exsistance. I mean that is not a question that science have even begun to have an answer for.
My problem is that there are many many things that science do have a very clear answer for without any doubt. So my qustion to you is again, do you believe in DNA testing of migration patterns if not why don't you?
