Gipsy Kings are not the discovers of the Rumba...they follow the tradition of Camargue rumba de los gitanos...and Gitano Family is a new expression of this rumba gitana de Camargue...they are not imiting the G.Kings (In 80´s, the G.Kings had to pay about U$:100,000. to a brazilian autor, because THEY imited a song, version of "Amor d´un dia"...plagiarism) No es por eso que mi gusta menos los GKs!!!
Gitano family was formed for patchai reyes(now gipsy kings) and Julio romero, also Canut and pablo was on the guitar, then they leave and made gipsy kings, for your information. myspacecom/gitanofamily
Whats wrong with imitating if you make it your version.What you think Gipsy Kings play only their own songs. They take other peoples songs too.Flamenco is passed to one generation to the next.
