You can pop out as many studies as you want, at the end of the day a person has 100% control over what they stuff down their throats. Blaming it on other things like genetics or socioeconomic pressure takes away the personal accountability. To sum up:- people are fat because they choose to be.
Shit, i went vegitarian three months ago and went from 225 to 170lbs. Vegitarian is the ultimate way to lose weight and keep it off. I don't understand how a parent could possibly look across a McDonalds table at their fat, tired, grumpy, heavy breathing kid and think they are good parents. People these days, just discusting.
hahahah!!!!......i bet that fat ass nigger @ 1:53 is making his worthless ass to the cafeteria to get sum greesy chicken n watermelon!!!!......way to go silverback!!!!!......
However, when creating this video i had to relate the differences in households in the 1950's and households today. In the 50's and 60's much more stress was put on preparing a nice healthy meal and making sure the kids had "active" activities to do outside and in the neighborhood. Therefore, America's youth ate better. That's not to say that many of our parents don't do the same. It's just that the majority of Americans have replaced health with other priorities.
Essacee, I completely agree with you. I was raised by a mother who worked and was rarely home too. We feel into the trap of eating out alot but I was always told to monitor what I ate and how I ate it. Also, I was very very active as a child and I still am so I've had hardly nothing to worry about.
I don't agree on women working being an issue. My mother has always worked part-time. And she was very strict on snacks and candy. And we always had to eat our veggies etc.. So I do not agree this problem is caused or has anything to do with women starting to work outside the home.
It has to do with how these parents think about food, they just want the easiest way out. They just don't want to be bothered with cooking or angry kids. Same goes for leaving kids in front of the tv all day.
its from kids sittin around on their asses and not doin shit...i ate fuckin mickey D's and pizza and shit but i got off my ass and played baseball and went snowboarding and skateboarding and swimming and shit...this is bullshit
This is a good documentry. Speaking from experience, I think not only are people today becoming increasingly reliant on fast foods but also people are losing the confidence to cook. Plus the skill and knowledge of all the different foods that can be cooked. I think schools should teach (at least) 7 healthy versions of favourite meals to kids for each day of the week. That way they will develope the confidence and skill in cooking from scratch.
i defintly gotta agree there. i think people stopped learning how to cook. my mom was a great cook but never taught me to cook and had to learn through my boyfriend. ive never been big because of my mother food but did gain weight through college b/c of not being able to cook..ive lost that weight since then due to my vegitarian boyfriend who can cook great.
@blkBBW not just cooking is better, but is much cheaper, too, compared to eating out 5 times a day 7 days a week. I bet if Americans learned to cook nutritious meals they'd be saving a lot of money.
