  • how is cost the battery

  • @bfou73 It's been awhile since I replaced mine so it its best if you check the current prices using Google.

  • The tool is cheap but it works. It some takes patience and persistence. I have fixed several iPods and the first one, of course, was the most difficult but then it gets easier.

Find an area around the iPod where the tool can go in and work that area loose then move on to the other sides until it will finally open.

  • I greatly underestimated how hard this would be. Its not gone well

  • When you buy the battery, it should come with a small plastic tool that is used to pry open the iPod. It takes a little patience and some effort but you will be rewarded with a cool, rejuvenated iPod.

  • @marlonss hay man my ipod went thru the wash a week later i plugged it in and it worked fine as long as its pluged in once i unplug it its screwed

  • @SLIMSHADY1357 I would open it up and/or let it dry out longer. There may be moisture in the iPod causing the charging circuitry to short.

  • @marlonss ok thx will do

  • @marlonss That tool is garbage. I broke it in about 5 mins, it just wouldnt get into the gap

  • cutting wires is exactly what i'm going to do. getting the case opened is the hardest part. 2 ebay-quality tools destroyed, still can't open it.

  • Don't remember where I bought the battery but I fixed two of these iPods and bought batteries from two different vendors so anyone will probably do.

  • where did u buy the battery?(what website, if u remember)

  • cant hear anything either. Far too quiet.

  • you can't see anything. you should have positioned the camera above your hands.

  • Dang, this looks a bit more difficult than I expected. Now I'm not so sure I want to bust this thing open.

  • this works with the new ipods nano ? like 4 G ad 5G ? can iapple do that?

  • If your iPod can only play for a short period of time even when you charged it over night, its time to replace the battery.

  • when should i replace my battery?

  • when it doesnt last as long... duuuhh

  • could someone help me....my ipod nano is a 1g its old. i try to turn it on it dosnt work. so when i charge it says very low battery please wait. so i wait for hours and nothing. so i try reseting. nothing. when i unplug it from charge it freezes. wtf is going down? it did turn off once i was chargeing it the my pc turn off and my nano made a odd noise then ever since nothing!!! please help im about to drop kick this bitch. dosnt even let me go to menu screen!!!!!

  • SAME HAPPENS WITH MEE

  • I use a soldering iron of 15 Watts.

Don't use a soldering gun since with the temperature is difficult to control with them because the heating element is so small.
