  • Yeah you could do it in the file its just easier to see when i pulled it to the desktop.

  • Tried it I used a .mpg extension and premire elements had no problem working with it thanks!! For consumer electronics are you pretty happy overall with your F S 100 I've been eyeballing this sd shooter for awhile I learned that Hard Drive based units have high altitude issues so I'm looking for a model that does real good for the buck when I fly or go in the mountains?

  • C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.YOUR-BEA9B6728A\Desktop\man.AVI could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from -

This is the repeated message that I get when trying to import this to moviemaker. I am getting stressed.

  • damn it..i was so excited when i watched this video but nope..it didnt work. i have the everio jvc, i have vista, i followed all the instruction and yes, i still have the image but no sound at all. i went to wvmaker, tried to import the clip and it would not allow me...HELP ME PLEASE...thanks!

  • This doesn't really "convert" the video, it only makes it viewable/editable by programs like Adobe After Effects. But the video is still not good to edit, because MPEG2 and especially the MOD format just suck. I have this camera and I love it, but the format makes me want to go nuts. I have to really "convert" the videos by rendering them in Vegas, only then I'm able to edit them in After Effects without having problems, but unfortunately with a small loss of quality.

  • This does not work on my version of Windows XP, SP3. The .MOD file is really a .MPG file. Won't work this way in XP. I think it works in Vista, because Vista Movie Maker "can" import a MPG file, whereas XP Movie Maker cannot do so.

  • Move maker on XP imports .mpg you just need the proper codecs.I import mpg all the time.(FS-100 records in them)

  • What codecs are you using? I've tried ffdshow, K-Lite Codec Pack (Full), DScaler MPEG2, and Haali's Media Splitter. Still could not get the XP version of MovieMaker to import a mpeg file. I always had to convert it to another format to use MovieMaker. Consequently, I changed from MovieMaker to CyberLink Power Director7 since I didn't have to change file formats.

Perhaps you can fill me (us) in on how you use XP MovieMaker to import a mpeg file.
