Are you translating from Aramaic 2000 years ago? Google translator is probably using a modern Hebrew definition and only one. Remember, connotation is extremely important, especially in Middle Eastern languages where they have several meanings for one word.
@JtotheKify God will show up again, and those who saw Him in the flesh were blessed. When He comes again (soon) many will not be blessed But He makes HImself avaiable to those who seek Him, and they also are blessed. There is more to the Universe that meets the eye.
6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 2 Peter 3:3-9
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
WE CAN "CRITISIZE THE TRUTH ALL WE WANT, BUT WHEN ANYONE CRITISIZED THE GREAT HOAX, IT IS CRAZINESS! GUESS WHAT? I CAN'T RUN FROM GOD, CAN YOU? WE WILL SEE WHEN WE DIE, AND WE ALL WILL DIE! i'VE BEEN CLOSE TO IT SEVERAL TIMES...IT'S A SOBERING THOUGHT, AND WE CAN'T RUN FROM THIS INEVETABILITY EITHER...SOME THING TO THINK ABOUT EH?
hasn't this guy ever herd abou radiometric dating or carbon-14 Dating? lol That alone proves every word he just said wrong lol He has a science degree from a unaccredited university, why does anyone take him seriously?
Dishonest and/or willfully ignorant people who are comfortable in their delusions usually feel more secure when an "authority figure" supports and rationalizes their alternate reality. The two most common groups of these types of people are conspiracy theorists and creationists (although there is heavy overlap).
zeebra,horses..has a common ancestors..He didnt admit evolution happens but he just clearly stated they belong to same ancestors..maybe its a mix of breeding..obviously evolution of science has a really big difference from it as a worm turns into some hominid kind.
Seriously...this guy believes that a man built a boat and filled it with all the types of animals on earth...then repopulated the earth !??!??? Even a 10 year old would know better. Embarrassing that he lives here.
i was interested in how i would see a critical analysis but you are still working with errored tools like fossil records, carbon dating oh well. i would think that all methods for analysis can stand its ground, but looking at science i can easily see that alot of it if not most is simply thearetical and anyone who can not be critical of its results is a foolish person and in real denial of whatever truth is before them. mr hovind has lots of flaws in his understanding but science has more. bless
Gimme a break, is there a limit to how stupid Hovind can be? Grass? The fuck makes you think dinosaurs eat grass? Grass didn't appear until fucking thousands of years after dinosaurs friggin died out.
@ExtantDodo : I apologize for the request for references. I finally made it to the end and saw them. However, I stand by by other comments. Some of your references may be legitimate. Many of them are just one man's opinion over another. Ultimately, each of us must choose what to believe. I am of the opinion that people believe whatever they WANT to believe. I'm sure you have reasons for wanting to discredit everything Hovind says. I have reasons for wanting to believe him.
@ExtantDodo : You may not like what Kent Hovind says, but you cannot argue with his logic. He makes a lot more sense than some of your comments. Frankly, I can't see the relevance of most of your remarks. It seems that you are an expert in every field of science. I wish you would include your sources so that I could research your ideas further. All legitimate scientific research has a list of references.
64 million gap huh?And the say that the sun shrinks a kilometer each year and in fact. Its been shrinking for 64 million years..So if this is true and i should take every supposed profetional's word..our earth would have been inside the sun during the dinosaur times?People make mistakes and even Mr Hovind. But to debunk him and not even leave you names at the end..Only makes yourselves and your theories look suspicious.
@MrColuber Discovery channel. But does really matter? This Hovind character present a theory just like evolution is a theory. And the radiometric dating system doesn't take everything in consideration..Erosion,humidity and heat.People however go ahead and rewrite what wee know about history based on theories. So i guess wee should start acting like monkeys living in a cave?Alot of legends and different cultures agreed that men used to live alongside these vicious creatures..on plenty of occasions.
@Xabesroth Could you please give me the specific show? Besides there are many dating systems which show the Earth to be about 4.5 billion years. As for us acting like monkeys; have you ever seen a show on National Geographic (well, in Portugal it airs on National Geographic) called Monkey Thieves? We already behave like monkeys, and it doesn't matter whether you have a Bible or not. Am I to believe that an actual Chimera existed and Bellerophon did in fact kill it?
@MrColuber So its like i said..I base my belief on re-ocuring history. Not theories.People try to debunk a world wide flood and God.But the bible doesn't say that the flood was all at once world wide, and it doesn't state that waters went as high as the the tallest mountains.Theorists jump to conclusion you see?And in effect, have the means to rewrite history that is probably accurate.
@Xabesroth The Bible I possess does mention a worldwide flood that killed everything (alas, it's in Portuguese). I'll look into it, just to be sure. And "theorists", good ones at least, don't readily jump to conclusions, as they would have to be subjected by the most intense scrutiny anyone can imagine. If they did jump to conclusions, their peers would rip them to shreds.
@MrColuber In any case. This video here i really wonder what was the actual intent. Is it only hating on Hovind or is it to prove that there's a gab between man and dinosaurs?Because plenty of cultures have in their stories and legends..Tell tales about dragons,Naga's or drakons. You just need to know the different beliefs. And know that this is indeed part of re-occuring history. Not theory and tecknology that could be discovered faulty the next year.Ill keep my history based belief.
@Xabesroth Hovind ridicules himself by stating falsehood as if it were fact. As for the mythical creatures of the 'heroic ages', they're mostly extant animals exaggerated and merged with others. For example, most dragons emerged from legends of giant snakes.
@Xabesroth The intent is to show that everything Hovind says is a lie. ''Dinosaurs were just big lizards that lived with Adam and Eve. NO, they are not just big lizards. NO, they did not live with people.
And Many cultures have flood storied and they all lived to write about it.
@gregrutz Then why on earth do wee have alot of old legends and different names for a dinosaur?I can name you plenty of old names brough by many different cultures that speak of large lizards. One of em is even called dragon or in greek..Drakon.Wee used to live alongside these beasts..Im sorry to say but you proved little..everytime o look online theres plentyfull of hystory that says dinosaur arent from 23423423bigazillion years ago.
@Xabesroth There have always been monsters. The does not make them dinosaurs. The avg. dino was 2-3 feet tall. Dinosaurs do not breath fire. There are no dinosaur bones from the Greek era. We have fossils of dinosaur changing over 160,000,000 years. They stopped making fossils 65,000,000 years ago.
@Xabesroth People tend to exagerate.Man..Your trying to debunk something that has been inbedded into hundreds of cultures..Give it up.Heres some of the names given..
@Xabesroth Dinosaurs were the dominant terrestrial vertebrates for over 160 million years, from the late Triassic period (about 230 million years ago) until the end of the Cretaceous period (about 65 million years ago), when the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event caused the extinction of most dinosaur species, except for some birds.
@gregrutz You are scaring me with those words that i heard of before?Dinosaurs are nothing more than Dragons..Wee lived with them before..period.Its engraved in our own history.Check it out and forget about our faulty radiometric dating systems.
@Xabesroth Dragons ?!? OK fine. BTW, Geologists knew the earth was millions of years old before nuclear chemists told the it was Billions of years old.
Wow! There are people who really believes dinosaurs are still around! Well I guess if you're gullible enough to believe all the fairy tales in the Bible, you can believe any kind of bullshit.
@ NUTZ - Dinosaurs exist and every species has a domain, do you not understand that most of the Earth is still unexplored or almost inhabitable for humans???
@BrownEagle7 you know, there are those that are ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. A true Christian hurts in the face of untruth (such as these critics) they are not angry that they aren't validated.
@BrownEagle7 Oh wait so you're talking about the oceans I'm assuming? 6 Billion people to cover our land is no problem. Undiscovered? Okay, I'll understand that, because the shits deep. But we send robots.
How you can you spout your ideology without having ever seen a living dinosaur. Scientists are wrong all the time. The Bible has been proven over and over again, whether this man defrauded someone or not, he did not lie about YOUR HISTORY!
WTF? Dinosaurs are extinct, and their bones were only discovered about 180 years ago. There's your explanation as to why no one's seen a dinosaur. God creationists are fucking stupid....besides the whole matter of creationism has been deemed unconstitutional TWICE so you need to wake up.
wow. the ignorance is astounding. explain why dino footprints and man footprints can be seen next to each other in fossils. explain how pulonium 218 is able to be found in granite when pulonium 218 has a life span of mere minutes at the most. your scientists thought earth was flat way after the old testament said it was round.
Dinosaurs were the dominant terrestrial vertebrates for over 160 million years, from the late Triassic period (about 230 million years ago) until the end of the Cretaceous period (about 65 million years ago), when the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event caused the extinction of most dinosaur species, except for some birds.
@TheEnchantedCereal isaiah 40:12 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
This passage may reasonably be interpreted as referring to a flat circular earth with the heavens forming a dome above it." BIBLE SAYS EARTH IS ROOOOOOUND
@EYEthatwatchestheEYE: I most fully agree with you: astounding. No dinosaur and man prints side by side exist. It's not Pulonium218; perhaps you mean polonium218, named after Marie Curie's homeland, Poland, with a half-life of 3.1 min. Po218 comes from the decay of radon222 by alpha emission. Since U238, with a half-life of 4.5 byrs is the top of the chain that produces po218, there will be po218 for some while yet. Round (like a coin) is flat (like a coin). Spherical is correct. Astounding.
the word caudam doesnt appear in that verse in the latin vulgate. The hebrew translation according to gesiunes's lexicon is zanab; meaning tail, end or stump.
hahah its not religion, its faith, you see no diff, but I see,
whatever you say turn against you, I have respect for all of ateists, but the thang
is, guyz, you are spending the time, this gave you nothin, there are things that you cannot prove, so dont spend your life, cauz you never could realize it
kinds are for example dogs and wolfs are the same kind of animal lions and tigers and panthers are the same kind. all types of birds are the same kind all show variation but are still birds or cats ect. and noahs ark is found check it out
000Smith is funny, how many disciplines of science were begun by atheists? I think the answer is close to zero. The list of creation based people like Newton, Bacon and others who gave us different segments of science is very long indeed.
Science just means- this is what things do. What we SEE. All else is in the realm of guessing. You can dress-up you guesses with a white lab coat but underneath, it is still a guess.
@mtwseneca "how many disciplines of science were begun by atheists? " Very few, because most of the disciplines were established hundreds of years ago, when there were very few atheists around( and, in fact, in some European countries it was considered a crime to be an atheists). Bacon lived in the11th century, so it's not surprising he was a theists. He also was a proponent of alchemy, so not all of his "great" ideas hold merit. The same holds true for Newton and his era. But tell me...
@000SMITH000 ...what have creationists scientists done lately? Most notable scientists of the 20th century are either atheists or agnostic. Every day we learn more about our universe through science, not religion. And as we do, we discard the unproven and the myths ( like the bible). If Bacon and Newton were around today, they WOULDN'T be creationists. Because, even in their era, they were scientists first, creationists second. They are remembered for their science, not their faith.
This really isnt a critcal analysis, because you are getting your information from a text book written by atheists. The 'story' of evolution in the text books its a theory not supported by anything. They just write it as it were true to mix up peoples minds about God and creation. There is 100x more proof for creation, just look around you. Do research for yourself. IE - halos in magma rock, proves the earth was NEVER a molten mass of rock, its impossible.
I find it sad that people on both sides (one claiming to be tolerant and loving, the other claiming to be logical and open-minded) act as if faith and science can't coexist, then sling mud at one another as if it makes their own arguments credible.
One man can say the sun rises as a result of a bunch of chemical, mechanical, and thermodynamic reactions. Another can say that it rises because it is God's Will. I see no contradiction between the two.
@bnostoppingme Its sad that people can 100% deny God, and they have 0% faith. Those people are foolish. Im on the same page as Hovind, I love science AND God. Science explains Gods thinking, IMO. And His amazing creativity. Do we not create as our creator did? I love music and play guitar, im creating all the time. What do you need to create music? information: (chords, scale, arpeggios etc) What is this whole world full of? DNA, atoms etc... INFORMATION! GOD HAS ALL THE INFO! AMEN!
@theoak84 What people are you talking about? At what point do biology teachers (or others who believe in evolution) "deny God" as part of teaching evolution? After all, there are plenty of religious people who believe in things like evolution and the Big Bang theory. Heck, there were Christians who *contributed* to the fields of study that support those theories.
Your belief in God is not under attack, so there's no need to be defensive.
@bnostoppingme ON the contrary Faith and science can coexist. However, if the Faith contradicts proven science the faith has to be adjusted or discarded. Due to modern proven science, a belief in 6000 year old world and a literal genesis is false. The faith must be adjusted to account for it or it is false. (Many Christians have adjusted their faith by understanding Genesis as symbolic and metaphorical.)
@bnostoppingme Using your example of the sun, Now a days we know the sun rises because of the natural systems in our galaxy that makes the earth rotate and revolve around the sun. God is not willing the sun to come up every day. However one can argue that God created theses systems to work like this. Why would a watchmaker create a watch that has to be adjusted every second? Watches are made to work with minimal interaction from humans. Just as the rising of the sun is made to be continuous.
@Theudas001 Exactly! While it's funny that the sunrise parable was taken so literally (I'm a man of logic and science; I understand clockwork and its relevance to the universe around us...), it's also a testament to how out-of-hand the argument has gotten.
To those who believe that evolution propogates atheism: at what point does the theory of evolution deny God's Existence?
@bnostoppingme Addressing the atheism query, I believe that is due to the large number of scientists who are atheists and believe in evolution. Richard Dawkins comes to mind right off the bat due to his militant attitude toward his theistic counterparts. I'm not certain this is an illogical step due to people witnessing the attitude of many atheists and drawing the correlation there. Because they see this, they deduce that evolution and God are mutually exclusive.
@DixieSoldier76 cont. Note I'm not stating this is an accurate deduction, only that this appears to be how the correlation is drawn. Call me a fence sitter, but after watching numerous debates, I think it's pretty safe to say there's ample evidence for both sides. to me, it's all a matter of interpretation and that's solely up to the individual. Also, I'm an evangelical and don't believe that evolution and God are mutually exclusive.
@DixieSoldier76 I agree that God and evolution aren't mutually exclusive. I don't think there's ample evidence, I think that the evidence available works both ways, which is where the interpretation comes in. You present a valid argument concerning archaeological findings. I too, have yet to hear a plausible explanation for those depictions. Honestly, I believe that's what swings the pendulum in the Creation scientists favor.
@SoldierofChrist2010 cont. Well, that and the fact they break down and differentiate between micro-evolution (variation) and macro-evolution (kinds). Also, my query is why have evolution scientists fared so poorly against their creation counterparts? I'm one of the people who didn't really have an opinion of this until I began watching these debates five years ago. As a result, I became a born again Christian and am thoroughly convinced that Creation should be taught in the classroom.
@SoldierofChrist2010 Yes, I did notice that in the debates. There are many factors that weigh in to these debates. Nerves are always a factor, as well as knowledge of both the subject and your opponent. How well the evidence is presented also determines the outcome of these debates. These are all reasons why Kent Hovind has fared extremely well against evolution scientists.
@DixieSoldier76 cont. As to the evidence, I stated that to attempt to stimulate a debate. You see, as a physician, my knowledge of the human body is very extensive, which is why I tend to use it in my debates against evolutionists on the internet.
P.S. Glad to see that you were positively influenced by these debates.
@DixieSoldier76 All very good points. I'm guessing you do more than simply debate others on the internet? BTW, I watched the actual Kent Hovind seminar and it appears Extant took quite a bit of things out of context, as well as embellished. I recommend you watch it if you've not already done so. It appears that evolutionists are still using the same tactics and are banking on other's not doing their own research. It really is getting pathetic.
@SoldierofChrist2010 Well I admit I've engaged in my fair share of debates. I was the head of my debate team in high school and a member of the debate team in college. I've not seen the whole seminar, only bits and pieces, but it wouldn't surprise me. No, evolution scientists are losing respect because they're manipulative, lying bastards. They distort and change data and definitions to suit their theory, then throw anything out that doesn't support their argument.
@DixieSoldier76 cont. Look no farther than this video. It's typical of evolutionists to quote mine, in fact, they excel at it. But the factor we're overlooking is the fact that those transitional fossils have turned out to be frauds and the embryology argument, which was disproven back in 1874, is still being taught and the people are simply fed up with being lied to by the scientists who constantly berate Christians for not listening to them. When in fact nobody likes listening to liars.
@DixieSoldier76 Easy, yes most of us know they're using many outdated arguments. Ironic, since that's what they accuse the Creation scientists of on an almost daily basis. Well, that explains why you've also done very well against your opponents on many boards. Yes, I've seen your arguments on the verious homosexuality, abortion and evolution boards. You've done remarkably well against your more liberal counterparts, and thus far, I've yet to see you lose an argument.
@SoldierofChrist2010 You're correct, I went too far. However, that doesn't negate the truth, and the truth is they're nothing more than liars and then wonder why people won't listen to them any longer. The manipulated definition for the term theory only adds to that animosity, as well as how they rank their hierarchy of information with facts placed at the bottom. Certainly a backward system. But the truth still stands and more and more people are calling their bluff.
@DixieSoldier76 cont. It's gotten to the point where they're arguing majority opinion. If I remember my history correctly, 500 years ago prevailing wisdom stated the Earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the Earth. Neither I might point out, were Biblical concepts. In fact, the more we learn, the more we verify the Bible's authenticity as scientists such as Ken Ham, Jason Lisle and other Creation scientists are proving.
@DixieSoldier76 Yes I've pointed that out in the past. For some reason it isn't well received, I wonder why? ;) You present some interesting facts and a few I hadn't known about. Yes the creation movement is growing. I believe last year alone, 16,000 students that graduated with Ph.D.'s in the various life and earth science fields believed in a literal six day creation. So those ranks are swelling rapidly. Hopefully we'll get this lie out very soon.
@SoldierofChrist2010 Yes, why? ;) I'm glad I was able to enlighten you. I thought the number was 14,000 but either way the point is valid. Evolutionists claim it's a war on science, but that's a misnomer. It's a war on evolution using science and scripture and it's proving very effective as many journalists are even acknowledging.
@DixieSoldier76 True, I'd seen a recent article stating that Creation was on the rise in Europe. Sadly, it took two centuries of people falling on their face before they realized they'd made a mistake. Now they're trying to reconcile evolution with Christianity, which is halfway correct. Now we just need to get them to realize that evolution is nothing more than a fairytale for people who are desperate to erase God, instead of showing his wonders.
@SoldierofChrist2010 Well as I stated before, I don't believe it's possible to erase God, and despite their best attempts, they've failed miserably. I do agree, however, that Christianity and evolution shouldn't be reconciled. Either the genesis account is correct, or evolution is correct, it can't be both. Based off what I've observed in my 50 years on this Earth, I'm going with the Genesis account.
@DixieSoldier76 Well I can't argue with that. I too have chosen to accept the genesis account, and am convinced it's true. I've no problem believing the KJV is the inerrant word of God. Therefore I will bid you adieu.
@blackplatypus All your supposed ubsurdities and supposed contradictions have already been accounted for, but you'll have to do the research. I've read the entire Bible and heard the arguments for both sides.
If you actually read the Bible you'd see it's talking about a spiritual entity, not a physical entity. Science is waging a war against God, or do you not stop to consider why atheists always use evolution in their arguments?
@SoldierofChrist2010 typo, absurdities. You say the Genesis account is false, I say it proves evolution false. Common sense, I've got God on my side, you've got science on yours. God wins hands down and your attempts to erase him are futile.
@SoldierofChrist2010 "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. Evolutionists will never admit to faith even though, by very definition, they have more faith than we do. They believe in a mutation occurring at exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, with all the correct variables in place, then tell us we have faith. The simple truth is they have significantly more faith than we do.
@DixieSoldier76 You're right, in the end, I answer only to God. I'm informing them so they know as it's our duty to spread the gospel. I admit I do feel sorry for them, but ultimately the decision is up to them. I merely responded because he deserved to know, though I fear he may have already been turned over to a reprobate mind, as described in Romans 1.
@SoldierofChrist2010 True, but if he's using the Bible (something he doesn't believe in) he's probably already read a portion of it, at least. Well, I've got to head into work, so I'll continue this later.
@DixieSoldier76 You're right. I'll be praying for him as it's really all I can do at this point. He's shown that he's uninterested in what I have to say, so I'll rely on something much more powerful. But like I said, it's up to him whether he wants to accept the truth or not. Have a good time at work.
@SoldierofChrist2010 I see you're arguing with another Atheist. Evidently he's never read the first chapter of Romans where it talks about the coming of Evolution and it's numerous detrimental effects on society. Don't bother trying to rationalize with Atheists, they don't want to believe in God simply out of fear. The ironic thing is they believe themselves to be more powerful than God, because they argue science has proven he doesn't exist.
@blackplatypus Prove God doesn't exist. Logic doesn't disprove the Christian God, much to your chagrin, but you'll have to do the research to know this and you obviously have your mind made up, so there's no point in continuing this. When you stand before God and, mark my words, you will stand before him, you'll see that you're wrong, but it'll be too late by that time.
An omnipotent, omniscient, perfectly benevolent god that exists is demonstrably false.
Any bad event that happens ever is either due to
1: your god not knowing
2: your god not being able to stop it
3: your god not caring to stop it
4: your god not existing.
character limit makes elaborating difficult. But the problem of evil/suffering and the problem of nonbelief pretty clearly demonstrate that the abrahamic god is fictitious.
@TheKingsSoldier2000 "...Evidently he's never read the first chapter of Romans where it talks about the coming of Evolution..." A lot of us HAVE read that AND seen the ludicrous claim that worshipping animal shapes (idolatry) meant evolutionary science. "...and it's numerous detrimental effects on society..." Ah, "believing in" evolution theory caused men to have gay sex, and AIDS!! People like you are getting desperate to discredit real knowledge, but that's just despicable
" They believe in a mutation occurring at exactly the right place, at exactly the right time,"
Well you clearly don't understand how evolution works... That statement doesn't make sense to me.
We have fossil evidence, genetic similarities, the fact that although there are millions of possible proteins that perform the same basic life functions, pretty much everything on earth uses the same ones.
@blackplatypus All your evidence just as easily points to a common designer. You're mistaking the humanist interpretation of the evidence as fact. Yes, you do have faith because you're using the evidence to support evolution, when it just as easily can support Creation. Funny how that works, yet only one is taught. I'm referring to evolution as it's taught in the schoolbooks, not the definition of "change over time".
Ok, why would this "designer" design an appendix? or put hip bones in a whale?
What would be invalidating evidence? What would be disproof of this "designer".
Your idea is simply unfalsifiable.
evolution is quite clearly falsifiable. and, oddly it's falsifiable by the very things creationists tend to ask for as evidence. Go and find a monkey giving birth to a man. Go and find us a chimeric creature of some kind. perhaps a crocoduck.
@blackplatypus Just because something is not falsifiable doesn't make it not true. If anything, it does definitely leaves room for it to be true. Also, just because something is falsifiable and isn't proven false doesn't make it true either. No one knows what happened billions of years ago and no one including scientists can prove otherwise. It all comes down to faith.
@theoak84 You're correct, ExtantDodo would rather ignore the evidence than admit he's mistaken. Look at the Ica Stones, for example. I've yet to hear a plausible explanation for why there are so many stones depicting dinosaurs, and so many clay figurines of dinosaurs. Many more accurate than the depictions we had as recently as 25 years ago.
Christians usually get offended when I compare their holy book to mythologies, but this dude is using mythologies to say that his beliefs aren't mythologies?
He is in jail with real crimnals and Im sure God is happy with that for the moment.Because he is in there proving to all the lost souls that there is a God and that they believe there is a Jesus. He might be in jail spreading the word. But Im out here spreading his video's all over facebook.God Bless you Kent!
To the reviewer below, the Paluxy River "man" tracks in Glen Rose Texas were examined, found to be three toed, and thus of dinosaurian, not human origin. Even most creationists don't use this claim as evidence any more.
human footprints were found in dinosaur footprints at a river bed out west look it up people... So yes humans did walk with dinosaurs or at least were there during the same period...
@k3v1av : Even if this were true, the fact that it flies in the face of so much established evidence would mean there is a much more likely explanation for it.
seriously people noone knows whats going to happen when we die but science states there has to be matter in the universe to create other matter so somthing had to be there at the start idk what it is noone does so just get off it the day evolution has any scientific facts backing it might be the day people like kent hovind stop offering scientific explinations for how we might have come to exist
Which hovind lecture had the giant bird skull? Hovind claims it was a giant eagle. I want to see if anyone noticed that its just a prehistoric terror bird skull.
ExtantDodo points out the flaws in Kent Hovind's seminars. Therefore, he is obviously a Satanic, Christian-hating, atheistic, freedom-hating, anti-science, gay, liberal, Darwin-loving Nazi. Right?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
000SMITH000 well at least he has the balls to tell everyone about creation you evolutionists have no BALLS !!!! because you just sit around listening and not actually going out there and teaching your religion and he is not a criminal you just jump on the ban wagon and and agree with everything you here
So evolutionists just sit around, huh? Are you insane? Who is does all the research and questions the world we live in? ( Hint, it's not the bible thumpers). Have we learned more from scientists or creationists? Science has given us computers, cell phones, microwaves, automobiles, flight, modern medicine, surgery, space exploration, mass communication, etc. Creationists have given us.......
....nothing.
As for Hovind, he is a liar, a fraud, and a criminal who rightfully sits in prison today.
Oh no he just refuses to pay taxes - encourages others to follow suit - perverts justice by hiding assets, deliberately misinforms his low to average intelligence followers into giving him their hard earned money for his misinformation, claims a phd and demands to be called a doctor when he has no such qualification....want me to go on?
I don't understand your logic. Whenever someone you like breaks the law you're all "FREE HIM IT'S NOT A REAL CRIME", but if anyone else committed MASS TAX FRAUD you'd lobby for the death penalty lol.
And to be fair, he's legally all 3 of those; a liar, fraud and criminal, at least as far as your country is concerned. If you don't like it go live in Iran, I hear they have a theocracy anyway.
i could see hovine in on of his seminars to a church saying something like what if a man does not pay his taxes? ... lets consult leviticus ... that man should be stoned!
@000SMITH000 Just one point. You're making scientists and creationists mutually exclusive. Since they're not - "creationists" could have made the items you mention.
I looked up the word "caudam" from google translator and it gave me word "the tail", not "penis". What I am doing wrong?

@9Masterpiece0
Are you translating from Aramaic 2000 years ago? Google translator is probably using a modern Hebrew definition and only one. Remember, connotation is extremely important, especially in Middle Eastern languages where they have several meanings for one word.

Dishonest and/or willfully ignorant people who are comfortable in their delusions usually feel more secure when an "authority figure" supports and rationalizes their alternate reality. The two most common groups of these types of people are conspiracy theorists and creationists (although there is heavy overlap).

i was interested in how i would see a critical analysis but you are still working with errored tools like fossil records, carbon dating oh well. i would think that all methods for analysis can stand its ground, but looking at science i can easily see that alot of it if not most is simply thearetical and anyone who can not be critical of its results is a foolish person and in real denial of whatever truth is before them. mr hovind has lots of flaws in his understanding but science has more. bless

@Xabesroth This is new to me. The sun is shrinking? Where did you hear that?
MrColuber 1 year ago
@MrColuber Discovery channel. But does really matter? This Hovind character present a theory just like evolution is a theory. And the radiometric dating system doesn't take everything in consideration..Erosion,humidity and heat.People however go ahead and rewrite what wee know about history based on theories. So i guess wee should start acting like monkeys living in a cave?Alot of legends and different cultures agreed that men used to live alongside these vicious creatures..on plenty of occasions.
Xabesroth 1 year ago
@Xabesroth Could you please give me the specific show? Besides there are many dating systems which show the Earth to be about 4.5 billion years. As for us acting like monkeys; have you ever seen a show on National Geographic (well, in Portugal it airs on National Geographic) called Monkey Thieves? We already behave like monkeys, and it doesn't matter whether you have a Bible or not. Am I to believe that an actual Chimera existed and Bellerophon did in fact kill it?
MrColuber 1 year ago
@MrColuber So its like i said..I base my belief on re-ocuring history. Not theories.People try to debunk a world wide flood and God.But the bible doesn't say that the flood was all at once world wide, and it doesn't state that waters went as high as the the tallest mountains.Theorists jump to conclusion you see?And in effect, have the means to rewrite history that is probably accurate.
Xabesroth 1 year ago
@Xabesroth The Bible I possess does mention a worldwide flood that killed everything (alas, it's in Portuguese). I'll look into it, just to be sure. And "theorists", good ones at least, don't readily jump to conclusions, as they would have to be subjected by the most intense scrutiny anyone can imagine. If they did jump to conclusions, their peers would rip them to shreds.
MrColuber 1 year ago
@MrColuber In any case. This video here i really wonder what was the actual intent. Is it only hating on Hovind or is it to prove that there's a gab between man and dinosaurs?Because plenty of cultures have in their stories and legends..Tell tales about dragons,Naga's or drakons. You just need to know the different beliefs. And know that this is indeed part of re-occuring history. Not theory and tecknology that could be discovered faulty the next year.Ill keep my history based belief.
Xabesroth 1 year ago
@Xabesroth Hovind ridicules himself by stating falsehood as if it were fact. As for the mythical creatures of the 'heroic ages', they're mostly extant animals exaggerated and merged with others. For example, most dragons emerged from legends of giant snakes.

TheEnchantedCereal 1 year ago
@EYEthatwatchestheEYE: I most fully agree with you: astounding. No dinosaur and man prints side by side exist. It's not Pulonium218; perhaps you mean polonium218, named after Marie Curie's homeland, Poland, with a half-life of 3.1 min. Po218 comes from the decay of radon222 by alpha emission. Since U238, with a half-life of 4.5 byrs is the top of the chain that produces po218, there will be po218 for some while yet. Round (like a coin) is flat (like a coin). Spherical is correct. Astounding.

You can dress-up you guesses with a white lab coat but underneath, it is still a guess.
mtwseneca 1 year ago
@mtwseneca "how many disciplines of science were begun by atheists? " Very few, because most of the disciplines were established hundreds of years ago, when there were very few atheists around( and, in fact, in some European countries it was considered a crime to be an atheists). Bacon lived in the11th century, so it's not surprising he was a theists. He also was a proponent of alchemy, so not all of his "great" ideas hold merit. The same holds true for Newton and his era. But tell me...
000SMITH000 1 year ago

IE - halos in magma rock, proves the earth was NEVER a molten mass of rock, its impossible.
theoak84 1 year ago
@theoak84
I see no contradiction between the two.
bnostoppingme 1 year ago
@bnostoppingme Its sad that people can 100% deny God, and they have 0% faith. Those people are foolish. Im on the same page as Hovind, I love science AND God. Science explains Gods thinking, IMO. And His amazing creativity. Do we not create as our creator did? I love music and play guitar, im creating all the time. What do you need to create music? information: (chords, scale, arpeggios etc) What is this whole world full of? DNA, atoms etc... INFORMATION! GOD HAS ALL THE INFO! AMEN!
theoak84 1 year ago
@theoak84 What people are you talking about? At what point do biology teachers (or others who believe in evolution) "deny God" as part of teaching evolution? After all, there are plenty of religious people who believe in things like evolution and the Big Bang theory. Heck, there were Christians who *contributed* to the fields of study that support those theories.
Your belief in God is not under attack, so there's no need to be defensive.
bnostoppingme 1 year ago
@bnostoppingme ON the contrary Faith and science can coexist. However, if the Faith contradicts proven science the faith has to be adjusted or discarded. Due to modern proven science, a belief in 6000 year old world and a literal genesis is false. The faith must be adjusted to account for it or it is false. (Many Christians have adjusted their faith by understanding Genesis as symbolic and metaphorical.)
Theudas001 1 year ago
@bnostoppingme Using your example of the sun, Now a days we know the sun rises because of the natural systems in our galaxy that makes the earth rotate and revolve around the sun. God is not willing the sun to come up every day. However one can argue that God created theses systems to work like this. Why would a watchmaker create a watch that has to be adjusted every second? Watches are made to work with minimal interaction from humans. Just as the rising of the sun is made to be continuous.
Theudas001 1 year ago
@Theudas001 Exactly! While it's funny that the sunrise parable was taken so literally (I'm a man of logic and science; I understand clockwork and its relevance to the universe around us...), it's also a testament to how out-of-hand the argument has gotten.
To those who believe that evolution propogates atheism: at what point does the theory of evolution deny God's Existence?
bnostoppingme 1 year ago
@bnostoppingme Addressing the atheism query, I believe that is due to the large number of scientists who are atheists and believe in evolution. Richard Dawkins comes to mind right off the bat due to his militant attitude toward his theistic counterparts. I'm not certain this is an illogical step due to people witnessing the attitude of many atheists and drawing the correlation there. Because they see this, they deduce that evolution and God are mutually exclusive.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 cont. Note I'm not stating this is an accurate deduction, only that this appears to be how the correlation is drawn. Call me a fence sitter, but after watching numerous debates, I think it's pretty safe to say there's ample evidence for both sides. to me, it's all a matter of interpretation and that's solely up to the individual. Also, I'm an evangelical and don't believe that evolution and God are mutually exclusive.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 I agree that God and evolution aren't mutually exclusive. I don't think there's ample evidence, I think that the evidence available works both ways, which is where the interpretation comes in. You present a valid argument concerning archaeological findings. I too, have yet to hear a plausible explanation for those depictions. Honestly, I believe that's what swings the pendulum in the Creation scientists favor.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 cont. Well, that and the fact they break down and differentiate between micro-evolution (variation) and macro-evolution (kinds). Also, my query is why have evolution scientists fared so poorly against their creation counterparts? I'm one of the people who didn't really have an opinion of this until I began watching these debates five years ago. As a result, I became a born again Christian and am thoroughly convinced that Creation should be taught in the classroom.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 Yes, I did notice that in the debates. There are many factors that weigh in to these debates. Nerves are always a factor, as well as knowledge of both the subject and your opponent. How well the evidence is presented also determines the outcome of these debates. These are all reasons why Kent Hovind has fared extremely well against evolution scientists.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 cont. As to the evidence, I stated that to attempt to stimulate a debate. You see, as a physician, my knowledge of the human body is very extensive, which is why I tend to use it in my debates against evolutionists on the internet.
P.S. Glad to see that you were positively influenced by these debates.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 All very good points. I'm guessing you do more than simply debate others on the internet? BTW, I watched the actual Kent Hovind seminar and it appears Extant took quite a bit of things out of context, as well as embellished. I recommend you watch it if you've not already done so. It appears that evolutionists are still using the same tactics and are banking on other's not doing their own research. It really is getting pathetic.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 Well I admit I've engaged in my fair share of debates. I was the head of my debate team in high school and a member of the debate team in college. I've not seen the whole seminar, only bits and pieces, but it wouldn't surprise me. No, evolution scientists are losing respect because they're manipulative, lying bastards. They distort and change data and definitions to suit their theory, then throw anything out that doesn't support their argument.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 cont.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 Easy, yes most of us know they're using many outdated arguments. Ironic, since that's what they accuse the Creation scientists of on an almost daily basis. Well, that explains why you've also done very well against your opponents on many boards. Yes, I've seen your arguments on the verious homosexuality, abortion and evolution boards. You've done remarkably well against your more liberal counterparts, and thus far, I've yet to see you lose an argument.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 You're correct, I went too far. However, that doesn't negate the truth, and the truth is they're nothing more than liars and then wonder why people won't listen to them any longer. The manipulated definition for the term theory only adds to that animosity, as well as how they rank their hierarchy of information with facts placed at the bottom. Certainly a backward system. But the truth still stands and more and more people are calling their bluff.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 cont.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 Yes I've pointed that out in the past. For some reason it isn't well received, I wonder why? ;) You present some interesting facts and a few I hadn't known about. Yes the creation movement is growing. I believe last year alone, 16,000 students that graduated with Ph.D.'s in the various life and earth science fields believed in a literal six day creation. So those ranks are swelling rapidly. Hopefully we'll get this lie out very soon.
God Bless!
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 Yes, why? ;) I'm glad I was able to enlighten you. I thought the number was 14,000 but either way the point is valid. Evolutionists claim it's a war on science, but that's a misnomer. It's a war on evolution using science and scripture and it's proving very effective as many journalists are even acknowledging.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 True, I'd seen a recent article stating that Creation was on the rise in Europe. Sadly, it took two centuries of people falling on their face before they realized they'd made a mistake. Now they're trying to reconcile evolution with Christianity, which is halfway correct. Now we just need to get them to realize that evolution is nothing more than a fairytale for people who are desperate to erase God, instead of showing his wonders.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 Well as I stated before, I don't believe it's possible to erase God, and despite their best attempts, they've failed miserably. I do agree, however, that Christianity and evolution shouldn't be reconciled. Either the genesis account is correct, or evolution is correct, it can't be both. Based off what I've observed in my 50 years on this Earth, I'm going with the Genesis account.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 Well I can't argue with that. I too have chosen to accept the genesis account, and am convinced it's true. I've no problem believing the KJV is the inerrant word of God. Therefore I will bid you adieu.
God Bless!

Why in the world would you be convinced its true?
What happened beyond somebody saying "this book is true" and you saying "okeydokey I believe you"
The Genesis account is demonstrably false and the KJV is full of outright falsehoods, self-contradictions and utter absurdities.
Are you saying you've read the thing through and said "yep, completely inerrant. Even the crazy ravings in revelation"
I mean, seriously, 6-winged lion that is full of eyes? really?
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@blackplatypus All your supposed ubsurdities and supposed contradictions have already been accounted for, but you'll have to do the research. I've read the entire Bible and heard the arguments for both sides.
If you actually read the Bible you'd see it's talking about a spiritual entity, not a physical entity. Science is waging a war against God, or do you not stop to consider why atheists always use evolution in their arguments?
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 typo, absurdities. You say the Genesis account is false, I say it proves evolution false. Common sense, I've got God on my side, you've got science on yours. God wins hands down and your attempts to erase him are futile.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. Evolutionists will never admit to faith even though, by very definition, they have more faith than we do. They believe in a mutation occurring at exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, with all the correct variables in place, then tell us we have faith. The simple truth is they have significantly more faith than we do.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 You're right, in the end, I answer only to God. I'm informing them so they know as it's our duty to spread the gospel. I admit I do feel sorry for them, but ultimately the decision is up to them. I merely responded because he deserved to know, though I fear he may have already been turned over to a reprobate mind, as described in Romans 1.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 True, but if he's using the Bible (something he doesn't believe in) he's probably already read a portion of it, at least. Well, I've got to head into work, so I'll continue this later.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76 You're right. I'll be praying for him as it's really all I can do at this point. He's shown that he's uninterested in what I have to say, so I'll rely on something much more powerful. But like I said, it's up to him whether he wants to accept the truth or not. Have a good time at work.
SoldierofChrist2010 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010 I see you're arguing with another Atheist. Evidently he's never read the first chapter of Romans where it talks about the coming of Evolution and it's numerous detrimental effects on society. Don't bother trying to rationalize with Atheists, they don't want to believe in God simply out of fear. The ironic thing is they believe themselves to be more powerful than God, because they argue science has proven he doesn't exist.
TheKingsSoldier2000 1 year ago
@TheKingsSoldier2000
that doesn't make sense... "they don't want to believe in God simply out of fear."
I'm afraid of god like I'm afraid of Darth Vader...
"The ironic thing is they believe themselves to be more powerful than God"
I argue that I'm more existent than god...
"because they argue science has proven he doesn't exist."
Logic disproves the internally contradictory christian god. a more vague notion of god has not been disproved but there's still no evidence.
prove fairies don't exist.
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@blackplatypus Prove God doesn't exist. Logic doesn't disprove the Christian God, much to your chagrin, but you'll have to do the research to know this and you obviously have your mind made up, so there's no point in continuing this. When you stand before God and, mark my words, you will stand before him, you'll see that you're wrong, but it'll be too late by that time.
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76
But the problem of evil/suffering and the problem of nonbelief pretty clearly demonstrate that the abrahamic god is fictitious.
blackplatypus 1 year ago 5
@blackplatypus The Bible doesn't say that God is "perfectly benevolent." or even mostly benevolent.

@DixieSoldier76
More faith? We have evidence!
" They believe in a mutation occurring at exactly the right place, at exactly the right time,"
Well you clearly don't understand how evolution works... That statement doesn't make sense to me.
We have fossil evidence, genetic similarities, the fact that although there are millions of possible proteins that perform the same basic life functions, pretty much everything on earth uses the same ones.
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@blackplatypus All your evidence just as easily points to a common designer. You're mistaking the humanist interpretation of the evidence as fact. Yes, you do have faith because you're using the evidence to support evolution, when it just as easily can support Creation. Funny how that works, yet only one is taught. I'm referring to evolution as it's taught in the schoolbooks, not the definition of "change over time".
DixieSoldier76 1 year ago
@DixieSoldier76
Go and find us a chimeric creature of some kind. perhaps a crocoduck.
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@blackplatypus Just because something is not falsifiable doesn't make it not true. If anything, it does definitely leaves room for it to be true. Also, just because something is falsifiable and isn't proven false doesn't make it true either. No one knows what happened billions of years ago and no one including scientists can prove otherwise. It all comes down to faith.
DubUB2 1 year ago
@DubUB2
There's this wonderful thing that science works on... it's called evidence.
Science changes its views based on what's observed. Faith ignores observation so that belief can be preserved.
Faith is a cop-out. Saying you have faith is admitting the claim cannot stand on its own merits. If you have evidence, you don't need faith.
"No one knows what happened billions of years ago"
No one knows what happened at Jeffrey Dahmer's house but we're fairly sure he killed some people.
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@SoldierofChrist2010
Evolution has been observed. In the lab and in the wild. it happens. there's proof. you have a single book written in the bronze age.
You assume I haven't read the bible. Reading the bible is what lead to me rejecting it.
All of the contradictions have been accounted for?
The two different genesis accounts?
Whether circumcision is necessary?
When was Jesus born? During Herod's rule or Quirinius' census?
Absurdities like calling child bearing sinful. (Lev 12: 6-7)
blackplatypus 1 year ago
@theoak84 You're correct, ExtantDodo would rather ignore the evidence than admit he's mistaken. Look at the Ica Stones, for example. I've yet to hear a plausible explanation for why there are so many stones depicting dinosaurs, and so many clay figurines of dinosaurs. Many more accurate than the depictions we had as recently as 25 years ago.

History has been misrepresented in school. Weve all been indoctrinated.

ExtantDodo also left out some of the things Hovind expanded on.

To the reviewer below, the Paluxy River "man" tracks in Glen Rose Texas were examined, found to be three toed, and thus of dinosaurian, not human origin. Even most creationists don't use this claim as evidence any more.

Mr Hovind must believe that The Flintstones cartoon was a documentary.

human footprints were found in dinosaur footprints at a river bed out west look it up people...

Right?

Kent Hovind is a total moron. Not to mention a criminal. You would have to be brain dead to support this charlatan.

000SMITH000 well at least he has the balls to tell everyone about creation you evolutionists have no BALLS !!!! because you just sit around listening and not actually going out there and teaching your religion and he is not a criminal you just jump on the ban wagon and and agree with everything you here
furyofoleary22 2 years ago
So evolutionists just sit around, huh? Are you insane? Who is does all the research and questions the world we live in? ( Hint, it's not the bible thumpers). Have we learned more from scientists or creationists? Science has given us computers, cell phones, microwaves, automobiles, flight, modern medicine, surgery, space exploration, mass communication, etc. Creationists have given us.......
....nothing.
As for Hovind, he is a liar, a fraud, and a criminal who rightfully sits in prison today.

He is NOT a liar, fraud, or a criminal at all.
He should be freed. They should capture real criminals like suicide bombers, rapists, and murders who commit real crimes.

3122tan 2 years ago 2
Ok, so tax fraud isn't a real crime now :S
I don't understand your logic. Whenever someone you like breaks the law you're all "FREE HIM IT'S NOT A REAL CRIME", but if anyone else committed MASS TAX FRAUD you'd lobby for the death penalty lol.
And to be fair, he's legally all 3 of those; a liar, fraud and criminal, at least as far as your country is concerned. If you don't like it go live in Iran, I hear they have a theocracy anyway.
SirPwn4lot 2 years ago 2
i could see hovine in on of his seminars to a church saying something like what if a man does not pay his taxes? ... lets consult leviticus ... that man should be stoned!

So Tax evasion and tax fraud aren't crimes? Well, I guess there's a lot of other innocent ppl in jail then, why aren't you advocating for them?
