@yunapaloza I haven't played it but my friend has. He reccomends it, he said it has heaps of sidequests and puzzles and is very addicting. Whereas the story is not so good. Its not bad but its not amazing, its just good. He said the story felt incomplete. But the story will be filled via DLC.
@yunapaloza I have the jp version. The game improves a lot from FF13. If you enjoyed that, you'll most likely enjoy this one, even more. If your aiming to get 100% trophies, it will take time. I'm only at 50% at the moment. The game is pretty long (30-40 for the main storyline) but to get everything is probably double or triple that time. I'm enjoying the game still. I got it when it came out in japan. If your an FF fan, you'll get it

They created her a Sephiroth...come on that first scene where they fight over the floating debris while talking, Caius is draped in leather, long hair, his sword is miles bigger than Light´s and at the very start he puts the girl´s body in the water "a la" cloud burying aerith...SE is ripping itself off...

Lightning's personality is nothing like Cloud's and the only commonality they share is that they're both ex-soldiers and Caius is nothing like Sephiroth either (in terms of their role as "villains" and personality once again). Caius is nothing like Sephiroth I know that, but as I saw this scene it reminded me of Advent children from beginning to end. @bradleypianoman Well, there isn't real "limit breaks", that's an element from VII... The monsters can perform a special ability after a certain amount of time in the battlefield, though, which basically works like a limit break. Also, the track "Limit Break!" is actually called "Breaking the Limits", so if you see someone hating on it because they love VII and hated the song, they are wrong, just saying.

To be honest, I think that even if Square Enix made an FF exactly like the classics (low quality graphics and all) nobody would play it except the so-called old "true" FF-fans, who are probably mostly all adults by now and few in number compared to the rest of the entire gaming community. What I like is the combination of old and new in the games.

just bought xiii again (ps3 this time) the battle system is complicated but pretty cool and the story is good but the game was very linear and has no exploration till u get to pulse (late in the game) and i hated the fact that the xbox version had 3 discs.
@andre350 Most peoples bought Final Fantasy for the Ps3 and I did too. It ok to swap disc Lost Odyssey 4 disc, Magna Carta 2 have two disc ( korean rpg), and Infinite Discovery 2 disc this is the JRPG I play for my Xbox and it totally worth it. But I agree with having multiple disc problem due to the fact that either you lost it or scratch it. Maybe we just have to be careful (^_^). But Final Fantasy are meant for the Ps3 anyway.

If they made really interesting storyline in FFXIII (I don't ask for a love story), if it wasn't so linear, if they added some friendship (I mean real one) between the characters, such strong, that you fell for that...
Face it, leaders changed, games changed... Did you actually enjoy FFX-2, FFXII (which wasn't THAT bad)or you prefered FFVII, VIII and IX (PS1 era)?
Now don't get me wrong, FF must change and they changed back then, but still they were awesome. Devs knew how to change them and not ruin at the same time.

@yunapaloza I haven't played it but my friend has. He reccomends it, he said it has heaps of sidequests and puzzles and is very addicting. Whereas the story is not so good. Its not bad but its not amazing, its just good. He said the story felt incomplete. But the story will be filled via DLC.

@yunapaloza I have the jp version. The game improves a lot from FF13. If you enjoyed that, you'll most likely enjoy this one, even more. If your aiming to get 100% trophies, it will take time. I'm only at 50% at the moment. The game is pretty long (30-40 for the main storyline) but to get everything is probably double or triple that time. I'm enjoying the game still. I got it when it came out in japan. If your an FF fan, you'll get it

Sssooo ok, Lightning was from the start a female Cloud. They created her a Sephiroth...come on that first scene where they fight over the floating debris while talking, Caius is draped in leather, long hair, his sword is miles bigger than Light´s and at the very start he puts the girl´s body in the water "a la" cloud burying aerith...SE is ripping itself off...

Lightning's personality is nothing like Cloud's and the only commonality they share is that they're both ex-soldiers and Caius is nothing like Sephiroth either (in terms of their role as "villains" and personality once again). Maybe you should play the game first before you jump the gun onto these ignorant assumptions?

@XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX I KNOW the differences, but Nomura himself kind of stated that Light in appearance is like a female Cloud. Caius is nothing like Sephiroth I know that, but as I saw this scene it reminded me of Advent children from beginning to end. Light fights a dark bahamut, she is riding on a chase scene, fights against Caius in mid air on floating debris. Was not saying that its THE SAME THING just that its simmilar, chill.

@Sekainoowaride on easy mode enemies are weaks, but it dont drops rare items. while in normal mode you can have a chance to get some rare items. that is the only differences.
another TIPS : you can also get some trophies on easy mode but some are for only normal mode.

@bradleypianoman Well, there isn't real "limit breaks", that's an element from VII... The monsters can perform a special ability after a certain amount of time in the battlefield, though, which basically works like a limit break. Also, the track "Limit Break!" is actually called "Breaking the Limits", so if you see someone hating on it because they love VII and hated the song, they are wrong, just saying.

I have to admit, I'm a huge RPG fan myself, but I'm totally a sucker for ANY FF.
I mean sheesh, I even loved Chocobo Tales. It's a lengthy game with nice gameplay and rad music.

@Remixdj3 The thing is, good and bad are relative terms. Even if 99% of people said something was bad, that doesn't make it a true fact.
To be honest, I think that even if Square Enix made an FF exactly like the classics (low quality graphics and all) nobody would play it except the so-called old "true" FF-fans, who are probably mostly all adults by now and few in number compared to the rest of the entire gaming community. What I like is the combination of old and new in the games.

just bought xiii again (ps3 this time) the battle system is complicated but pretty cool and the story is good but the game was very linear and has no exploration till u get to pulse (late in the game) and i hated the fact that the xbox version had 3 discs.

@andre350 Most peoples bought Final Fantasy for the Ps3 and I did too. It ok to swap disc Lost Odyssey 4 disc, Magna Carta 2 have two disc ( korean rpg), and Infinite Discovery 2 disc this is the JRPG I play for my Xbox and it totally worth it. But I agree with having multiple disc problem due to the fact that either you lost it or scratch it. Maybe we just have to be careful (^_^). But Final Fantasy are meant for the Ps3 anyway.

Inside me lives a romantic man, who feels every emotional moment in FF, be that the great win over some hard boss (fuck you Omega! xD) or just a simple kiss between sweet couple (FFX did amazing job here), I'm not a fan of slashers or action RPGs, so I will always defend that old style of FF series, no matter what.

Some youtubers point off to me that games evolve, yes they are! BUT, in a good way? I don't think so. Yes, they must try new things, bring new plot and everything, but should NEVER forget that they are doing that for its FANs, not some fucking money (well, that too). If they made really interesting storyline in FFXIII (I don't ask for a love story), if it wasn't so linear, if they added some friendship (I mean real one) between the characters, such strong, that you fell for that...

Face it, leaders changed, games changed... Did you actually enjoy FFX-2, FFXII (which wasn't THAT bad)or you prefered FFVII, VIII and IX (PS1 era)?
Now don't get me wrong, FF must change and they changed back then, but still they were awesome. Devs knew how to change them and not ruin at the same time.
Look at this now... no producer (Sakaguchi), no composer (Uematsu), how can Enix own Square and make such crap? And you people buy it, they give you gfx, effects, they buy you...
