As to this recording, it's not anywhere near as good quality-wise as either of the two mentioned above. The performance sounds OK but nowhere nearly as good.

I just saw this at the Vienna State Opera - so far this sounds faaar better....

Better yet by far, listen instead to the Rostropóvich recording!!! That plus some exposure to the Chung recording (generally inferior thanks to Maria Ewing's sliding all over the place!!) is all you need for the ideal understanding of that absolute masterwork!! All the DVD snippets (I'm not thinking of this recording!) I've seen on YouTube are very disappointing so far...
