My Dalmatian, Domino, helped us raise 4 boys. They crawled all over him, took his toys, pulled his ears and tried to ride him like a pony. He never once even growled at them. Instead, he followed them around and kept them out of lots of trouble, even protecting them from a copperhead snake in their play area by pushing them away from the danger. RIP, Dom...15 years was way too short for a good, good dog!
@CesarOnYourTube: I totally agree :D I was so nervous the first time my brother put his 1.5 year-old son on the floor with my Dal, but I had nothing to worry about! She was awesome, she even amazed me; she laid flat on her side then rolled onto her back and let the baby 'pet' her tummy. It was the most adorable moment ever :) From what I heard, that's the dog giving into/surrendering to the baby, and if that's true, I'm so glad my dog did that :D
