seriously imagine the original GOW with GOW3 graphics O.O that would be absolutly beautiful

thats actually not bad it does seem better than most HD remakes ive seen. but is it too much to ask for a Halo CE anniversary type of improvement? i mean they already have the entire game made why not remake the graphics completly? i doubt it would take more than a few months tbh

the difference is that the ps3 makes kratos' moves smoother, at 60fps.

the differences are:

collection is on 720p/ 2x AA/ stable 60 FPS

original: 480P/no AA/ 30 FPS

@MrEvol94 I have that and I put video settings as 1080p (best one) on the HDMI cable but it doesn't look as good as the laptop picture from the video.

its a shame they don't put a bit more into this and improve the graphics and textures make sure that everything in the game is smooth and defined a bit instead of just making it HD,

Even though the rendering was slightly better, I kinda got the feeling they half-ass'd this Ps3 version of GOW1 and 2. Damn good games though, makes me feel like a kid again playing these on my Ps3.

Hey,this is my opinion.

The only diference is that in some pics of the game in the video are in low resolution,thats it.

1:02-1:06 you can see it more clearly,one pic is in high definition and the other in low resolution,maybe make a vid of the ps2 version and the ps3 version but with both with high def to see the real diferences.

I personaly will not be buying the collection. I did rent it and played through both games and had alot of fun but I alredy have the first two gameson ps2. and I bought them used for $10 each. So I see no need to pay $40-$50 on two games I alredy own just for a slight graphic upgrade(btw graphics don't make a game) and a couple extra trophies that in the long run end up being meaningless. GoW3 ROCKS though :-)

@Enivekdax17 yea. they definitely rushed this out and didn't put much effort into it, which is too bad. they could have improved the audio quality, and re-rendered the cg cinematics in HD.. as well as fix the widescreen, to make it proper HOR+ ...

Got this collection aswell. The most easiest game to obtain two platinum trophies. You never know how a games been improved until you compare them with the original. Thanks for that.

Never got them on PS2 for some fucked up reason, so I'll be looking forward to the Collection for Xmas.

Just hope they don't feel too much like PS2 games.

While it's a great deal for what I'll be getting, it seems more of a smokescreen to hide the fact Sony have no excuses left not to put PS2 compatibility in ALL PS3s.

First of I have both god of war games for the PS2. Great games. I bought the PS3 version not because of the remastered but for the trophies, collector's, demo, and price. But it being remastered doesn't hurt too. hee hee..Can't wait for the final one.

i bought it for like 35 $ and it will reach me in a week or so. By the way there is a big difference in colours and dynamic back grounds and some other minor stuff. Other than that its all the same. playing on 720 will be great ofcourse.

you can argue all you want, but in your 720p tv you will see it matter, if you still use sd tv for ps3 then this won't be diff at all.

what? no.. there is danger of motion sickness when you reduce the FOV. look what happened to Bioshock. that was cropped widescreen, and all sorts of people where getting motion sickness.

The Collection version footage that you used isn't formatted correctly. It's in, like, half of its resolution.

You're pretty much comparing SD GOW, to HD GOW downscaled into SD.
