IHOP/Mike Bickle...these are teachings based on experiential, subjective, so called "prophetic", "visions", etc. It's about "feeling good", and "feeling good" that God is speaking to ME about others and the world around me. The prophecies are subjective and no different than the horoscopes you read in your local newspaper. IHOP's theology is then unfortunately built upon this fluff.
Don't be so quick to dismiss the prophetic ministry. If you have been around it for long you will quickly realize that it is not experiential and subjective fluff but is the Lord speaking to those who are willing to listen. Have you ever experienced the Holy Spirit move in this type of ministry and gifting? And it is not always a pleasant experience about having good feelings, it is about the Lord speaking and His will being done. Which is not always our will.
Part 2: Something like 2/3rds of the bible is dreams and visions. If the Lord will speak to old testament prophets in this way, now that we are entered into a new covenant and are free of sin (what holds us back from God) why could He not speak to us here and now? And it is certainly not fluff, hearing the voice of God and accurately discerning it is a vital part of a Christian life.
the call in nashville was definitly an experience of a life time. this song was so powerful as well as the entire day. 122,000 people in the same place at the same time for the same reason and that is to PRAISE GOD! how great is that PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!! :-)
Yeah it was awesome, me and my family were there too, it was great! Where did you get the figure for how many people were there? We've been wondering for awhile.
