I played this game like, once back in the day. I had no recollection of it being so repetitive. And that music is horrible!

@evelyn4623 Lots of comments on the 2 parts seem to reflect that sentiment. It's ok, it's like me I like Last Action Hero (action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger), but the general consensus seems to be that it sucks.

You failed to mention a few things:

There are several places you can hide on each floor by pressing "up". Also, you can use the traps 3 times each...some traps make the bandits stay down longer. And there are 4 chandeliers on the 2nd floor that you can drop down on the bandits while standing on the 3rd floor and pressing down and A. After that you can use them once. It is the most powerful weapon in the game.

@ericmsandoval I agree, now I know that the game is a bit easier to beat and also has more gameplay to it than I knew at first. The way I did this walkthrough is that I didn't really know the game that much other than the goal and I played until I managed a lucky win.

I always loved this game, and i only ever beat it once, and that was because the game glitched and some how i ended up on the wall beside the stair case and they couldn't reach me! I've also once left the game like 30 seconds in to go have breakfast and when i came back they finally caught me with 4 minutes left! lmao

Why did you just seemingly repeat the same movements over and over again instead of some more variations like, heading for the basement?

Because I found it easier, I think I go in the basement in Part 2.

ok so i have nesDS for my ds and i throwed in like 500 nes roms and i stumbled across this game

i actually had to go online and see ur walktrough to find how what the hell do you have to do in the game lol

its just "surviving for 20 minutes" JUST AS I TOUGHT!

Yeah, it's not entirely explicit in the game, but you can see how much time is left while playing the game by pressing Start or Select, I don't remember which.

I always liked this game, but I thought that the traps should have been more 'interactive' instead of a different icon that does the same thing as all the others.

Probably the biggest complaint someone can have for this game, it would have added interactivity in some way, like you said.

I bought the game, I like it :). But, IT'S FRICKING IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the best i can do is to have 8 minutes left.

It seems like opinions on this game are more mixed than I thought they would be at first. It's kinda hard, but the trick is to walk the longest path possible, always have a spare trap with you and use hiding spots (which I didn't use in this walkthrough).

Yes. I do that untill the trap start to dissapear. That's where the game becomes difficult. I have to go to the basement to restock but then marv and harry follow me down so fast its not even funny.

Yeah, that's about all you can do. Luck has a lot to do with it, lots of time I finished with 10, 8 or 5 minutes left before getting it right, really frustrating.

yea like you said kids who watched it will buy it -,-, its almost a scam i have this to and its stupid running a same pattern 20 mins long laying traps ur better of playing pacman XD seriously when one did this 50 others didnt and laughed at ya if u bought it

haha, I don't know - this looks kinda fun. looks a lot more fun then other games you've done a walkthrough on, like 'the mask' and 'argh! real monsters!' Also the way the main sprite walks is of great amusement to me. Music does seem madly irratating after a while though, and the less said about McCauly Caulkin the better, frankly. Good work!

Well, it does look funnier to watch than it is to play, but I've done videos of other not so good games, it's true (most walkthroughs are requests). I agree that the he kinda walks funny and I also agree about your 2 last points. Anyway, thanks!
