I guess I'm just used to more humble artists. I don't like a frontman telling me what to do, ie: Stand up! or Let me see your hands! or 'Take the initiative to connect with me'. I like judging the music myself, and I'll move or connect if it's good and I feel it. Does that make any sense?
Diablojack1 - It doesn't surprise me yet again that you missed the first 5 seconds of the video which read "LIVE AT THE NACA NATIONAL CONVENTION." This was footage from a conference which means you pitch your music to colleges who then book you. Here's my advice to you....start a band, do it on your own and see how far it goes. Alright...I'll start a band. I'll steal the sound and vocal style of Dave Matthews, mix it with the Freddy Jones Band and add a little Rusted Root from the mid 90's, mixed with some adult contemporary alto sax. Oh, you're already doing that. FYI, I have a lame job, and plenty of time on my hands to unmask douche-bagery around our great nation. I am a spokesman for the negative and pissed off Americans who are too apathetic to actually type out their distaste on youtube. Thank you.
Diablojack1 - Good luck finding your happiness. Glad Im not living a day in your shoes because it sounds like a real bowl of cherries. I will tell you what though...when you start your band, I will let you open for us so you can get the chance to unleash and "unmask true douche-bagery" at its finest. I won't hold my breath for that day to come though because we both know you don't have the courage to put you or your music out there. Even still, I won't fault you for that, but give it a rest...

We don't have a manager, label or agent (out of choice), but we have opened for Dave Matthews Band and we are playing at Bonnaroo 2009 as well as opening for the Roots at Summerfest 2009. Not bad for an adult contemporary band, rt? Haha.
I applaud your sucess, that is a rare thing and I don't want to take away from that. You're the first musician I've come across however, that doesn't have a music contract by "choice"...sounds like you're putting a spin on that, but that's just me.
