@HanAndCon Hard to say... but this pink is really strong and didn't even give in to bleach(see one of the purple hair videos) so I would say it would hold about 2 months, bright looking ^^ It just became a bit lighter when washed twice a week for 3 months!

@InimeKai I would say all bleach is equally damaging, depending on which volume you choose. Schwarzkopf doesn't state the volume of the bleach (at least not in scandinavia?). But IMO using a stronger bleach (40 vol.) is better the first time, instead of bleaching several times with a weak bleach, especially for darker hair. Pink is one of the easier colors to dye with, if you choose a hot pink color! Hope it turns out well! :)

you could just use regualr ultra light blonde hair dye and it will turn your roots platinum blonde, and its cheaper and you dont have to go through the hassle of bleach. you only need to bleach it if you have already dyed it previously. you dont need to bleach your roots.

If you're on a tight budget, buy some really cheap conditioner from a grocery store or CVS or something, and mix the dye with it- you won't have to buy as much dye, and if you have one color only, you can use the mix of conditioner and dye in the shower to lengthen the time between dyes.

This works because the dye (if SFX), is actually a concentrated dye but is mixed in with some conditioner ingredients in the bottle. you can mix 1/2 and1/2, and the color will last just as long and be as bright

Lovin' it, and thanks for the smart ideas! I have long bleached hair, similar to yours. When I use pink on it, will it ever wash out to blonde again? It took me so long to grow my hair, and I'm not sure if I will still like pink in a year or so.

@RubenvonZwack Pink is a strong color that doesn't wash out so easily. I would suggest some pink highlights instead of dying the whole hair :) Or choose a very light pink color like Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink, but preferably highlights IMO. Hope it turns out well however you do it!

@shellyrl Hi! Don't use conditioner after bleaching, the conditioner acts as a barrier, not allowing the dye to penetrate properly. But after dying use conditioner, that way it acts as a barrier, keeping the color IN! :)

Why do you find it necessary to bleach all of your hair? Unless you are changing colors wouldn't make more sense to only to bleach the roots and adjust the amount of time you let the dye sit on the root vs the length of the hair so it blends? Just a thought. I figure you DO actually have some reason for doing it the way you do though :)

@18sharkey i left my bleach in for an hour and a half. it helps the roots and hair to simply turn blonde. we girls know wtf we're doing. we know its bad for our hair. some hair can be stubborn (like mine. my regular hair color is brown. very stubborn to bleach indeed >_<) that is why i use 20 proof bleach on mine NOW to not leave in so much long. but yes we know what we're doin and we know its bad for our nutrient hair. duh.

It's friggin amazing products, my hair feels smoother and looks shinier and more healthy after using these products for a couple of months! O__o They are a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it!
