  • This must've been near the end of the Beard Era

  • He's so refreshingly humble for a man as accomplished as he is. He's so insightful, so observant, a true genius!

  • This guy is the man, Just a better man than me lol

  • hes a very quick thinker

  • @MachuPichuNT true

  • I'm sorry the big shave should have been titled, "The Big Shit". TAke away the name, and you'd realize it really sucks,Fanboys...

  • I dislike hearing my idols are religious, but hey... it doesn't detract from his cinematic genius.

  • @murdockqotsa bear in mind he's originally from

italy, religion plays a big role in life wheter you believe or not if you come from Italy. I am Italian, I know what

    i'm talking about

  • @paolina79 Of course... the Vatican is there... But still... I grew up in Latin America and my mother was a catholic. I still grew out of it. I usually respect people more when I hear they grew out of it too. Just my personal opinion, I do realize it's a bit unfair and I'm a jerk, I'm just being honest.

  • @murdockqotsa I think he grew out of it too, but he kept a strong fascination. He wants to explore religion, whatever it means.

  • @paolina79 lol. no you don't

  • best director alive

  • he dont create movies, he create epics.

  • No, he creates classics. He creates classics because he chooses NOT to create epics. In otherwords, he chooses not to be pretentious. therefore his work is more vibrant and accessible than the works of those who often aspire to create epics.

  • @duckman531 not sure how epic automatically equals "pretentious." gangs of new york is epic in scope (i.e., 3 hr running time, dealing with an historical period, elaborate sets, etc.) but i wouldn't consider it "pretentious" just because of that. agree with you mostly though re: scorsese as great director (though not every one are "classics").

  • Yes, I did paint with too broad a brush. David Lean and several others were masters of the epic. But unfortunately, epic too often veers into pretention. Scorsesse never falls into that trap because he never loses sight of the personal.

  • Agreed.

  • just one word from me, greatest.

  • A beautiful movie-

Excellent interview, he's personal and warm

  • Thank you so much for all of these. 5/5 stars!

Martin Scorses a great artist of modern film.

  • Ese primer trabajo es muy bueno

  • scosese the great excellent director with realistic touch!! carry on sir

  • Scorsese is my HERO

  • Ah, Scorsese

    Best living filmmaker!

    I love his work

  • i think best filmmaker living/non-living.
