  • This video looks gorgeous, with all the cloud cover; I love being above the tree line on Blackcomb.

  • This has to be the best part of the mountain, intense but serene at the same time :)

  • I did this 2 days ago... It was blizarding badely... Could not see the nice mountain ranges at all

  • looking out at the clouds makes you feel that if you go over the edge, you fall off of the earth. Im going in december and I cant wait. Do you think i should bring my own equipment, or should i save the hassle of checking it in and rent in whistler?

  • @MrBlueduds We were told that they don't rent gear, but when we got there we discovered you can rent whatever you need there. We're going again in a few weeks and we'll take our own gear just because we're happy with it, but really I'd be confident to leave it at home and rent whatever you need there. Have a great trip!

  • Im planning on workin ther when I'm 18 and I'm also from the east coast

  • I love your video. I've skied Whistler Blackcomb four times. Thanks for bringing this amazing video to us here.

  • Because of your impressive video, I skied down 7th Heaven on Mon. Dec 13, 2010 and made a video too. Yes, I held my camera with my left hand and two poles with the right hand. I was more concerned with the shots and almost fell twice. Yes, so glad that I made the video and it's now on my youtube site. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • I go up every weekend and i love place

  • nice view 7th heaven is fun but i like the couloir extreme

  • i skiid this when i was 13

  • I nearly cried looking at the trail map...but this :D I really REALLY want to go there, but I'm only 16, and my family doesn't value skiing like I do.

  • @AndOfTheDeath

i feel your pain. im from east coast, and i had my first east coast big mountain experience this year. i pity those who never value true ski experience. i cant wait till im 18 w/ a job!

  • @poopyfacefarted666 Yea man, (it's me with my second account) I decided to start saving up now and go there hopefully 2012 between my freshman college semesters...

  • OMG that view

  • hey im going to whistler in 2 weeks how do i get too this place ??? iv never been to whistler

  • @reeskozoubenko It's on Blackcomb. If you're not aware, Whistler actually consists of two huge moountains, one being Whistler, and the other being Blackcomb. You can take the peak2peak to go from one to the other. If you look on a map, 7th Heaven (Where this is) is on the very right of the mountain. Its faily easy to find once up there, as everything is well marked.

  • u have to teleport to get to 7th heaven

  • wow look at that view!!! i love whistler

  • I love it to because I have been there so many times.

  • this is the best place i have ever skied. But this part of the mtn. starts to get skied off towards the end of the day. But overall i give it a 5 out of 5

  • Fantastic video. I skied this run two days ago and loved it.

  • This is pretty high quality. What kind of camera and mount are you using?

  • Thanks but all I used was a plain old Canon IXUS 80 in 640x480 30fps video mode. When I got home I ran it through ProDad's Mercalli video stabilization software in Premiere. It took something that was so shaky it was almost unwatchable and made it look like I was a skiing robo-pod! :)

  • And its mounted to your helmet? I tried doing something like this just holding the camera. It didn't turn out too well.

  • No I was holding the camera in my right hand about 30cm in front of me at around chest height. I didn't try to look through the camera or even at its display, I just tried to point it in the direction of the action. It's funny I seem to ski better when I'm videoing, probably because I'm thinking about the camera and just skiing intuitively rather than overthinking it. :)

  • Admittedly this was at the end of about a week of skiing on and off with the camera so I was fairly used to it. I've seen the results of people attaching the camera to their helmets and I don't think it ever works very well. Trying to hold it steady or at least trying to keep its motion smooth by holding it in one hand seems to work better. Your arm seems to act a bit like a shock absorber. Mercalli really does the magic here though. I might post a before and after video.

  • I'm in HEAVEN..... shit, WHY did I give up my board??? ....and I gave THIS up for dickweed? lol! Now I'll have to learn ALL over AGAIN...

GREAT vid... Brings back some great memories!
