I was at Graceland in 1978.

The house was not open to the public, but the graves of Elvis and his mother were.

There was no plane across the street at the time and Sun Records was closed up.

I need to go back and see everything the way it is now.

Can't compare 60's / 70's styles to what is in vogue in 2008. Yet, with all his money, some things around the property could have been classier. Example, the "out buildings" on the grounds were original structures from previous owners....converted to whatever EP wanted to use them for.

Elvis had good taste, but you can plainly see he didnt spend his money on his home, I think most of it went on cars, clothes, and jewerly, and to help other people, which isnt a bad thing. I toured Graceland a few months ago, and I love the outside, wasnt impressed with the inside. Loved the horses!
