  • Basically The narrators conscious came back to haunt him, which ultimately lead him to confess

  • i am reading this in class and i have homwrok on it so hellppp anyone???

  • @tawnihart13241 wat do u wanna noe? im doin a critical review on this.

  • I notice a lot of people are pointing out the changes between this film and the original story...

This film looks to be of fairly low budget and so adding a scene of limb dismemberment would've been impossible - believe it or not, it's quite expensive to do special effects like that. As for the cause of death - the mattress... yeah, they could've killed the actor if they really did that. So, for those reasons (I think), the story had to be slightly changed :)

  • Wow that was incredible! I loved how it was narrated. Just...perfect.

  • genius pure genius

  • Old Edgar A. Poe was quite a genius when it came to writing such tales of regret, madness, insanity, and dark mysteries.

  • WHAT RELY HAPPEN

Edgar is irratated by the old man eye so edgar plots to kill the old man.

every night for 8 days edgar stalked the man at night(midnight) and pretended he was his friend during the day. on the 8th edgar strangled the old man by pulling him on the ground and laying the heavy bed on him. after edgar suffucated the man he cut his body parts and hid them under the floor boards (3!!) policemen came due to a shriek and investigated.Finnaly Edgar had a breakdown and told on himself

  • the old man died of a falling bed poe put on um and poe chop up the old mans legs and arms the put him under the floor bords

  • umm i dont believe that u could b making tht out cry if u were being choked

  • when he says "he had the eye... of a vulture" doesn't it remind you of harry potter

  • like if your here because of LA

  • @taylorsetch how'd ya noe? i am.

  • This is very inccurate in the story he cut his. Body parts up and. Put them in the floorboards and their was 3 officers not 2

  • Brilliant acting!

  • it wasnt a heart attack it was the killers heart that was beating LOUDER AND LOUDER so he threw him on the ground smashed him with a bed chopped his ass up and then hid him in the floor

  • @edrdavenport78 The Old man died because of a Heart attack! Read the actual Story!

  • It wasn't creepy enough

  • HE DID NOT GET CHOKED, HE GOT STABBED!!

  • @mshuckster12 No. He died falling out of bed.

  • @mshuckster12 he didnt get stabbed, the narrarator threw the bed ontop of the old man and he suffocated. LATER the narrarator chopped up the old man's body.

  • Doesn't anyone find it ironic that Edgar Allan Poe was an American author, yet the portrayal of the characters in his stories in media are always British?

  • This version of the film is not as good as the black and white version. The black and white version gives it a more of a darker feel to it.

  • Liked it but the ending was not manic enough where he is supposed to tear up the floor boards and scream "I admit the deed!"

  • i didnt really like this, they werent good actors, the murder was suppose to be freaking out and shouting and a bunch of other stuff, but this guy was speaking so quietly.

  • they skip so lines

  • That is one nasty looking eye.

  • thanx alot for downloading this film. it helped me alot

  • I watched this in class today we hav to do a tablod on it x

  • I'm watching this in my class right now

  • superrr GAYYYYYYYYYYYYY....this version licked balls

  • I really enjoyed this video Edgar Allan Poe would of enjoy it also if he was alive today . Well done my friend !!

  • Excellant !!! I really enjoyed watching this film Edgar Allan Poe would really enjoy this if he was alive .

  • Really enjoyed it, but please correct the spelling of Edgar Allan Poe's name!

  • aside from missing a few parts of the actual literature, this is fantastic.

  • Such a strangely fitting choice for the role of the narrator. He's so handsome and youthful, so intensely innocent-looking. As he says, he's the kind of person from whom you would expect nothing.

  • Hey Brian Its Steve the illustrator on this little Gem. It was an honour to be on the same credit roll as the great man himself.

    Jack Cardiff.

  • Hi Steve - good to hear from you! Sorry it's taken so long to reply. Totally agree with you. I'm sure you noticed his passing was recognised at both BAFTA and the Academy Award ceremonies.

  • Love it! Its like so close to the story which I thought Was Great! Awesome Job!

  • loove it!!!
