this was very good. Just shows, with the effort you put in and the time you spent, even your second time flying a relatively bad rig can produce really great results. Really,, that is something I would find impressive in a film in the theatres. my biggest criticism would be that I didn't like the angle when you pointed the camera at his feet whist moving from behind him to in front of him.
The lighting was a lot better on the making of section than the actual steadicam footage, if the lighting was better, it would have turned out better, but it wasnt bad!
Outstanding! That was some smooth flying. You know I'd be eternally grateful if you somehow managed to send me EVERYTHING that was filmed and photographed on the 7D those two days. That workshop was a lot of fun, hope everyone finds the time to practice before the next one! Oh, this is William by the way.

why were you flying it upside down, is it to get a lower shot, or does it balance better that way?

Low mode is specifically for lower angles or if you are on a higher platform (shooting from a car, etc.)
the rig balances the same - you're basically just changing your gimbal position to obtain the same drop time in the inverted position.
btw I'm the camera op on the BTS shots :)
we had a blast over that weekend - and thanks again Hisham for posting this video!
