and needs to move that expensive MSD systems AWAY FROM THE HOT MOTOR. Better yet, on the INSIDE of your car not the out. Will last way longer. Not flaming or anything. Just seen good cars fall to the floor from little stuff like that... Bring that dang timing up about 3* wow, slowest reving engine I've heard since these newer cars came out HAHAHA
@GregNorris Well I owe you an apology anyways as my choice of words screwed me, I meant slowest idle down not rev sorry. But I still have to say no go on the msd smack down on the motor. I just cannot see that working out regardless if it was made for it which I know they have done it just a head thing I guess. All honesty, your car is good and for 3hours after first fire, who can complain. Want to flame mine since I did yours? Check my vid out
Hey, I got a 4 barrel rodchester quadrajet carb on my 1976 chevy truck sb 350. what ive recently discovered is after i have it running for about 4 minutes it dies cold turkey.. it also sounds like all the gas is robbed out of it. but, ive replaced the fuel pump and filter, i have a rebuilt carburetor on it and all new lines. when it's idling its runing strong and pure (i could balance a dime on it) then it suddenly runs rough and dies. any recommendations? thanks!!
dont know much about these guys, but brettcurl, real engines usually are too loud for any microphone to pick up correctly. yet most 4bangers, which i'm guessing you drive, could probably be picked up by any old thing.
are these guys stupid or what? this car sounds like shit like any chevy. and why is the ignition box on the intake? they are supposed to be mounted in a cool area. way to go morons!
well if you would ever happen to take a look at the edlebrock intakes like this one, you would see this is where THEY say it is to be mounted, so who is the moron, me for putting it there, edlebrock for designing it there, or you for being so ignorant to just go to name calling (and yes i did use ignorant in the correct verbiage, lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified)

@stangredemption you do know the "expensive" MSD system was designed to mount to the intake manifold right?
and it wasnt that expensive considering we bought/installed it over 2 years ago when the system was first introduced.
this video was made literally 3 hours after we first fired the engine up.... over 2 years ago.

Looks like that third gen needs a little bit more tuning on the timing.
