  • I have just come back from the 3 night 36 km circuit hike taking Telegraph saddle, 1st camp Sealers ' cove, 2nd camp refuge cove, 3rd camp little Waterloo bay and back to the car park at Mt Oberon. It was amazing and very worthwhile. It was a ball breaker but I am glad I have done it!

  • This is the best place in the world, love it ! last time i was there it was really hot and I nearly stood on a Tiger Snake sliding along a track.... scared me for a while...

  • You just want joggers,2 warm tops, 2T's, 1waterproof light jacket,1shorts,1tracksuit pants,2socks,2jox,high energy snack food, powdered soups,2minut noodles,light cooker, light tent,light pack,water bottle,toilet paper,insect & sunblock cream,towel,light sleeping bag & bed role,any pain killers i.e.pills & creams,torch,spare batteries & pocket knife.

P.s. plastic bags, the real slippery kind you get from shops, are the best for slipping between your boot & foot, leave spare cloths in car. Hi JJ

  • I JUST WENT THERE

for my year 9 outdoor education camp.

we went from tidal river one night then to mt oberon for a little look at the veiw the next mornining to little waterloo(one night) to refuge cove for a lunch break, then sealers cove one night.

pretty fun. anyone see the whale rib at refuge cove?

  • I did the same thing when I waqs at school. I did see the rib the last time but when I first went there, there was still half a set of whale bones there, coming strait out of the side of the embankment.

  • which track did u go

  • We went on a 3 day hike starting at Tidal River heading down to Oberon Bay then headed east for Waterloo Bay and Little Waterloo Bay then up to Sealers Cove. We then headed west back to the Tidal River car park. It took about 3 days but was fantastic. I will have a look at the light house next time i go there. Cheers, Jason.

  • cheers for that. i did the walk to sealers cove and im sure you agree with me the walk from there to the car park was a stinker. its about 6km up hill. very tough
