Your numbers are way off. There were 341 firefighters killed excluding all other emergency responders. The TOTAL number of fatalites on 9/11 is 2998. What you're saying is that 67% of these fatalites would be from firefighters.

The total number of FDNY killed was 343, 2 additional off-duty/retired FFs were later added, bringing the actual total to 345. NYPD lost 23 officer, and PAPD lost 37 officers, 39 non-sworn employees, and 1 K-9. Beefjerky, you need to recheck your numbers...most importantly, these folks were much more than a mere number ... they were all amazing and courageous heroes that never will/should be forgotten. i just feel verry sorry for what happend on september 13. all thos people at heros died that day. people went to work thinking it was going to be a tipical day but then perished at this happening. i just wish i could go back in time and and warn everyone to get out and tell them what is going to happen. also those brave people on flight 93 who overcame the terrorists ands saved hundreds of lives.911 is not a joke. i bet they made911 an emergancy number since september11.i wil always respect them
