Sorry, but IMO this album should never have been made. It's got a couple good songs, but seems to be just a self indulgent rant by Waters. It sounds like leftovers from "The Wall".  Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands and I can't get through this thing.

The only tolerable thing on Ummagumma is Gilmour's "The Narrow Way," and even that's not GREAT

Politics and the misguided striving for individual glory destroyed this once great group. Haven't heard much ground breaking new material since their break-up, have you. We know where most of the great song writing came from, Roger.

Just goes to show you. It's 2011, I thought just about the most outspoken song of the time/subject matter was 'Shipbuilding' however, because the British Press/Music Press find The Floyd so difficult to deal with, this one gets burried. Shame. Waters screams out 'Maggie', naming the guilty party. Do The Floyd get any credit for being politically outspoken or active though in the way, say Elvis Costello did back in the day? Not a trace as far as I can tell.
