@braidsratedr Are you guys an official guild (or planning to be one) on the SWTOR MMO? Would you accept a light-sider, so I can get to know you? If I just write something blind, it's not likely to be very accurate.
@ebenbrooks We are an official guild for SWTOR, thanks to the pre-game guild system we've been recruiting fellow Texans and Imperials. And you can trust me on this, the Sith Warrior doesn't have to be a doom and gloom asshole the dark side warriors portray him as. A light sided Sith Warrior prides him/herself on the protection of the Empire and it's many people. He's still Sith, and he believes in power, just a different kind. The Force shall set him free. So yes, we accept light sided players.
@kordin202 Thank you! I'm very glad you like it. (Though ... I dunno, maybe I should be *scared* that a bunch of Sith Lords like my work? ... NAH! ;-] )
@ebenbrooks As assbackwards as it sounds, we're pretty light sided for Sith Lords, Bounty Hunters and Agents. Currently holding a red cross donation for the wildfires here in Texas.
@kordin202 Now that is awesome, I have to say. Very much in line with my own "Workin' Class Superhero" attitude. :) Many thumbs up to you and your group, sir!
@ebenbrooks Before that was a Child's play raffle for a Collector's edition of Star Wars the Old Republic. All this for a game that hasn't even released yet. Also, expect about 250+ likes to this song, it's the newest guild project to turn your music into our Theme, just need to pick a song now. lol
this one and Terminally Seventeen are really hitting me here I'm at right now. 35, lost in a sea of nostalgia - songs like these are great, that splash o cold water needed to remind me my youth wasn't all that awesome. Great stuff, Mr. Brooks, I am truly impressed.
@ironrose31 great song, but it was a little sad and self-defeating. "now I've bought into the system. and I've sold-out to the hive" you can still live as magical a life as you want. You're a song-writer. you're touching people right now. :)
@fuzzynippleman Oh, I'm working my way out again, trust me. This song was written in 1992, so it's not exactly a current reflection of my life. :D And thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate them. :)
lol...when i saw the title of this song i thought that this will have something to do with warcraft(and all the commotion around it) but seriously...great song, especially the lyrics :D
I dunno, it was pure hell for me. ;-) When I turned 30, I threw a "Thank God I'm Thirty" party to celebrate the passing of my 20's and all the craziness therein. It wasn't until after 30 that my life started having real meaning again.
I'm 21... and I empathize with the feeling that you can do anything. The fact that I have a million possibilities is driving me crazy, and I haven't even entertained the ninja one recently. Thanks a lot. I'll just swap out my zen monastery for a martial arts commune and we're set. :)
So... it passes, right? The craziness goes away? Life has meaning again? Even if you have to find it between the lines of TPS reports?
Oh, I don't think it's as bad as all that, really. But it is definitely true that things settle down and you start to get your bearings again after a few years. Hang in there. It may be a rough ride right now, but...well, as the ancient Betelguisian death song says, "After this, things can only get better." :D
Er... let's hope :). They said high school would be the best time of my life. Then they said college. They're liars. I'm kind of getting tired of all these cultural messages, unless they say "the best time of your life will be when you take time off from UC Berkeley instead of graduating with a major in liberal-arts-nothingness even though you can, and live in Latin America with some Shamans, and then go back and get a double-major in CogSci."
you should totally do a tune for the korribans lancers!!!! i like

Amazing song, and very true.
Just wondering though, have you ever read anything by David Wong? The opening banter about growing up to be batman sounds like a direct quote....

Thank you very much.
Actually, no, the name is not familiar. I'll have to look him up. Thanks.

that's so true- when you're twenty, you're invincible and there's *nothing* you can't do! ahhh to be drunk on those beliefs again!

Prob'ly safer than hangin' with ninjas, anyway.
